With lots of really good NBA talk in the season thread going on and the season currently in full swing, I figured it'd be a good time to get a dynasty draft started.

The number of years this dynasty is for is up for debate. We did 5 a few months ago, and I think 10 is too long. I'd prefer 7, but it's whatever everybody wants to do.

30 teams, 9 rounds (ABBBABBAB) format. 8 players, 1 coach.

loose rules right now, subject to change.

1. all players have current injuries

2. player pool isn't limited, include current college/high school prospects

3. would like a 2 or 3 hour window for picks during the first 5/6 rounds. probably 2 hour after that.

4. trading of picks is allowed


pretty simple. I'd like everyone to try and compile rankings and vote at the end to get some sort of generic rankings on teams.

I'm strongly of the preference that there should be no limit(in other words, 20+ years). We just did 5 in the NFL draft, and although the draft overall turned out great I really didn't like the fact that the 5 year rule made someone like Philip Rivers as or more valuable than someone like Kaepernick or RG3. I think that if you're trying to simulate a true "dynasty" draft then just don't cap the years.


including college players will be awesome with such a sick freshman class right now. I think HS players is too much though- we're all completely guessing, whats the point of trying to argue about which HS players will be good in the NBA?
