What are my options here. GO with aged established guys with little to no upside. Go with older players who have no upside and could have injury issues. Or go big and get owned or own. Without a top 5 pick in this--it's going to be tough to win the theoretical league. I can't imagine the team without a top 5 player has a chance here. And a team with Deron has little to no chance here either.

LOL you were warned literally a half-dozen times, maybe more. Then when you got banned for a whole day after pushing the envelope in like every post you cried like an emo bitch to all your friends, who innundated me with inane "please spare poor Bobbo" PMs. gmafb, that one was clearly deserved.

Tyreke was the flavor of the month, i think he'll have around the same level of success as Michael Beasley will (granted them being completely different players making my comparision stupid)

i cant believe someone argued they didnt want to take deron 'bc they cant imagine winning a championship with him'. teams win championship. if you think this is true, the guys who draft 11-30 should just retire and say 'well we cant win a championship!' ridic. you draft the best player (or later, fit/relative value)

deron > wall/evans ainec.
ya this, making it to the conference finals or whatever for a few years is still way more successful than almost all the teams in this league, plus i could easily see 1 or 2 championships from a team lead by deron or other undrafted players if u draft really well later on

I doubt you win a title in this league with a guy like Deron unless you get another hidden superstar in the latter rounds. Then again my odds of winning a title without a top 5 pick are pretty low as well. I'm just hoping for a Durant like improvement from Reke into the upper echelon of player while I don't have that real chance with Deron who is great but never going to be a top 5 player in the league in all likelyhood. It's low chance that Reke is ever a top 5 player but I think the chance that he is, is greater than Deron.

Granger is good, but he's a scorer and that's it. He's 26 this year and likely near his peak which is a 25/6r guy who doesn't defend really well. Reke is a much better play maker. As I said it's a high upside pick and could easily backfire but with Granger like with most of these players taken now the chance of title is pretty small.
you do realize deron is like +5 apm, right? tons of minutes, few injuries, and is 25, not 26 this year? (he's the same age as melo) dude can do it all, plus he has size so he guards SGs all the time.

tyreke isn't really a pg, isn't really a sg, and has a much smaller window of work. yes, he looks good, yes, he deserves to be a 1st rounder, but deron >>> tyreke.

tyreke is awesome. i dont get the hate. dude is like a tweaner between lebron and wade.

btw, his rookie numbers most resemble lebrons. http://www.basketball-reference.com/...nsty01&y2=2010

Yeah I'm really surprised Deron hasn't gone yet and I think there's another guy comparable to Granger but better still out there.

Deron > Evans > Wall imo, although Evans and Wall are razor close

exactly. ppl need to realize the jazz lost to the eventual nba champion spurs not-too-long ago w/ Deron as their best player. not every team/player can win a championship.

I ain't playing Reke at the 1. I'm playing him at the 2 like a Wade/LBJ etc with guys playing off of him. Like I said this could easily backfire, but I figure I go for the potential top 5 guy who could win me a title than a guy who will likely be as good as he is right now for the duration. I figure take a shot. I took a shot in the previous dynasty draft with Howard and he's turned out to be an excellent player albeit at a later starting date.

i'd much rather have wall than evans fwiw and was considering wall at #16, #11 is still too early for him but not by much or anything

Evans is not a PG, not that it matters

i don't think u realize how good harris is at driving the ball, he is easily one of the quickest pgs in the league (and easily quicker than tyreke)

I will mention--I don't even like Tyreke that much and I hate defending him. I just see that he could be the next Wade or something so I took him. He was a top level recruit, he was great at Memphis and he's been great so far and better than most 20 year olds who ended up being superstars. His wingspan is another thing I liked (it's huge) and will defenitely help him become a good defender if he desires.
