There’s a whole article about doncic potentially falling out of the top 3. A lot of stuff but cliffs is that teams aren’t as infatuated with him, only Phoenix sent a scout to the Euro championships of the top 4 picks. The buyout is a concern and him holding out. He’s been struggling with all the games the last 18 months. This point doesn’t seem like that much of a concern to me since he’s so young. He struggled early on in the playoffs but obviously played very well in the last 2 games to get the MVP.

It’s lol insider so if someone wants to read the whole thing pm me.
here.

i wanna hear trade ideas for moving up to #3 (hawks)

lets assume that suns take doncic and kings take ayton

i assume celtics are the team w/ the most assets to get this done, but im wondering what fair value looks like.

jaylen brown + the kings unprotected '19? more?

dont think the celtics are trading jaylen, he's a #3 pick running above expectation still on his rookie deal who fits really well into the system.

Jaylen Brown will Not be traded and the Celtics will still be able to move into the top 5.

Sacramento Pick + Celtics own late pick (or one of the Memphis / LAC picks) + Rozier / Smart seems like a plenty good haul if a team doesn't like where they are picking at.

You're crazy. Jaylen Brown alone is worth the 3rd pick in the eyes of gms & Ainge isn't going to trade Brown for that pick nor does he need to. Rozier + Kings pick + 22nd pick should be enough considering the Hawks are moving on from Shroder & Rozier is being overrated right now.

If Ayton goes #1 & Ainge loves Doncic, i could see him trading Jaylen Brown for the #2, maybe add in the #22nd pick as well, nothing more & kings would snap take it as Brown fits into their team better & is a proven young, good player with high upside.

this seems like a good haul for the #2 pick but idk about #3

if im hawks fan and celtics are offering me SAC1+BOS1+Rozier+Smart I am ecstatic

then again, the flatter lottery odds should prob be taken a little more into consideration (i feel like kings are lock to get 14%). and i dont know how strong the '19 class is yet.

Hawks will do the stupidest possible thing. They're the Browns of the NBA.

So you think the Hawks will reach and take someone who would be available at #7?

The Celtics can't trade Smart because he is a pending free agent. I expect Ainge to be stingy and offer Rozier + #27 + the 2019 Clippers pick (Top 14 protected, becomes a second if not conveyed by 2020) + the 2019 Memphis pick (decreasing protection until unprotected in 2021) before he gives up the Sacramento pick. You might be able to get him to throw in a young player like Guershon Yabusele and/or Semi Ojeleye.

Sounds lke something Ainge would do, would be a fleecing, those picks sucks with all those protections, i could see the Hawks accepting as people seem to be overrating Rozier currently.

hmm I wonder why he stopped at 2013

probably because '12 has lillard. '11 has irving and walker. '10 has john wall. '09 has rubio and curry. '08 has d-rose and russ. '07 has conley. '06 has roy. '05 has d-will, cp3, felton.

Ayton was apparently watching game 3 of the nba finals with the Suns roster, smh. Doncic has a high ceiling & most importantly, a high floor. Considering how much of a crapshoot these drafts are, drafting someone with such a high floor & is a safe pick just makes too much sense.

Doncic's floor is basically Deangelo Russell imo
