I really don't see how Knicks score enough to win G3. They likely can't play fast, need to really turn it into a halfcourt grind it out as much as they can... and we need minimum 12 points from Achiuwa and probably at least 37-38 from Brunson.

No, it's still massively dumb. Celtics lose one game and everyone acts like it means something. Cavs just pulled a Heat and shot better than they will ever again in these playoffs.

They pretty much have counted him out for game 3. You can't grind through a hamstring injury without a significant risk of making it worse. I don't think this is a toughness issue. As you say, OG is plenty strong and tough.

shout out to jaden mcdaniels, the anti-giddey and lowly 28th pick, shooting 14% in the den series but still +40, and +88 in 6 games this postseason. best wing defender in the game. the fact his gf is not in high school (older than him in fact) is just cherry on top.

Also coaches just really never make big adjustments after wins, especially blowouts.



Giddey has some strengths but they're more for the regular season. Pushing in transition, secondary ballhandling, good rebounder. Just having to cut his minutes significantly isn't great for OKC. Wiggins/Wallace are solid but young guys with huge roles in a playoff series now.


Also JDub has struggled so if that continues + no Giddey, they just don't have a lot of playmaking out there.

Celts should roll since it is the Cavs but I would say Horford replacing KP is probably more of a downgrade than all of us think. Means minutes also have to go to Kornet/Tillman as well. Horford known as yeoman jack of all trades rock solid vet for like 10 years now vs KP known as career disappointment before this year but KP is decently better than him at everything at this point. Just saying "KP out, Horford in" feels like such a minor downgrade because of who they are.

Celts are playing without a top 35-40 caliber player, which I do think has gotten underrated a bit.

Mobley hasn't really shown any consistency in his career that he can keep exploiting the hole though.
