I say no. Brown is a better defender who plays within the flow of the offense and doesn't do stupid hero ball KEBO 0.5 version stuff.
Tatum is much better than Jaylen. Bad Jaylen can be infuriating.

Bad Tatum is like Tatum half the damn time.

Even with Tatum having a bad game tonight, Derek White has stepped up to replace the scoring. He's been doing that quite a bit lately.

Combined with Petyon Pritchard, Sam Hauser and Luke Kornet often playing very well off the bench, I'm feeling more and more confident in the Celtics.

Still, we need Porzingas back no later than the Finals game 1.

That's the thing. The casual fan thinks Tatum is so good due to the Celtics' success. He's in a near perfect situation and still doesn't play consistent nor well in enough of key games imho.

Put Tatum on the Hornets (swap out their starting PF for him) and they wouldn't have even been in the Play-In (36 wins / Hornets went 21-61).

Tatum is better than Brown, much better passer/facilitator. Brown lack of playmaking would get exposed some on a team he had to be the #1 option or just wasn't as loaded as Celts.

Tatum is a better help defender than Brown as well, even if Brown is better on-ball.

Most defenses putting their attention towards Tatum as well compared to Brown, makes Brown look better sometimes.

Just let the Celtics and Knicks play best of 14. Maybe Knicks Pacers can be competitive but this Celtics series is going to be totally unwatchable.

But Mitch did MULTIPLE dumb **** in G1 including leaving Turner wide open for 3. At least this gets Precious more minutes who is quite smart.

I read in Thinking Basketball by Ben Taylor, that for any real certainty for the best team to win a Best of “X Games” series it would require an 11 game series.

Word on the street is that Spyda is GONE unless Cavs make ECF.

Also teams may be wary of trading real assets for him as an expiring when he probably just signs with Brooklyn as a free agent.

seems like gm 1 is stealable vs OKC because daigenult will play everyone to see what he has

once he cuts the giddey/hayward minutes, going to get tougher

Sup TZ.

Casual NBA fan checking in here.

My biggest complaint about following the NBA right now is that there are waaaaaay too many Jalen/Jaylen/Jaylons to keep track of.

There are the colors, Brown (who plays for a green team) and Green, who does not.

There’s Suggs, who’s supposed to be good now, but isn’t yet.

Then there are the common names. Williams, who actually IS good,

And even my terrible Hawks have a Johnson, who may or may not be good.

Plus surely more I’m forgetting.

I can’t keep it straight.

You seem to have a pretty good handle on it. Keep studying. There are many more Jalens coming

Jalen Smith counts as a Common Name. Jalen Wilson, even.

take away giddey -7 in 17 mins and the last 5 mins of garbage time

and OKC outscored them by 29pts in 26 minutes...obv some shooting variance in there, they were particularly on fire when he left mid 3rd but warrants mentioning

I dunno about that, to where?

being the best player on a small market 48 win team in the east that loses in rd 1-2 seems like roughly his ceiling as a player

(or the west in previous years of his career)

You might want to make that an odd number.

Brooklyn as I already said. He wants to play in NYC even if isn't for the Knicks.

Depending what happens with LeBron the Lakers can become a player for his services in 2025 as well.

Not surprising AT ALL that no one from the Pacers fandom/betting side posted the 2 minute report:
Quote:
there were a total of four missed calls in the final two minutes, according to the league's report: Turner should have been whistled for a separate illegal screen on DiVincenzo in the backcourt with about 10 seconds remaining; there was an errant kicked ball violation called on Aaron Nesmith with 53 seconds left; and prior to those, officials missed calling a defensive three seconds violation on Turner with 1:19 left.

Think Gobert probably still a bit ahead at this point overall. But yea obviously not for long. Wonder how many in a row he will actually win haha. Going to be funny watching people try to come up with arguments for some wing defender because they don't want to give it to him for a 6th time or something
What's the under/over for Wemby DPOTY? 4.5?

Luka been pretty bad since he got hurt, by his standards. Kyrie and the role players won the last two game against LAC.

Anyone who watched that game knows the Knicks got the raw end of the deal. There was not reason to post the L2M report and confirm it. If anything, it just makes their overcoming those odds all the more impressive
