I understand this.

But could you imagine the numbers Jordan, Kobe, LeBron, etc would put up on those Minnesota teams? He was a great player and I am definitely underrating KG here, but I just feel like every time you see a great player have a ****ty supporting cast, his numbers go up considerably. Kobe had his #s with great teams, same with the others. You don't have teams putting out their all to guard KG when he is on Minnesota because they don't have to to win, and KG is also getting the ball and knowing he has to do everything for the team.

I dunno, I'm likely just underrating KG, because I didn't watch him basically at all when he was at Minnesota

Why is ATL such a large(9 points) favorite over Miami tonight? Kbfc's model has the game at 5, which is more what I expected. Am I missing out on some info here?

yea but KG's defense > KG's offense and the numbers you're talking about don't really demonstrate any of that.

yeah. robinson/duncan won w/a pretty pedestrian supporting cast. granted that was the lockout year but they weren't really challenged in the playoffs

Put Shaq in his prime with any top 100 player and this is going to happen, right?

I'd say it depends a bit on the player. Most people consider guys like Ben Wallace, Dennis Rodman, Shawh Marion to be top 100 of the past ~25 years, but I don't know if one of them plus Shaq is an auto contender.

Shaq in his prime will always be one of my favorite things about the nba

One of the areas KG I feel people underrate KG is his BBall IQ. It's part of why he's such a great defender, locker room guy, and such a great passer.

And that Minnesota team was LOL bad, worse than NO sans CP3. Without him they'd struggle to win 20..

wade sitting probably?

Oh ok, yeah figured I was missing something obvious. Not having league pass for these past few weeks is totally throwing me out of the loop with regards to keeping up to date on all this stuff......

Apr 14 Wade is listed as questionable Tuesday against Atlanta with a sprained left ankle.
Advice: Wade's ankle is fine. The Heat just don't want him to play in a meaningless game against an opponent they will meet in the postseason.

Apr 14 Wade might be rested and sit out Tuesday's game at Atlanta, the Miami Herald reports.
Recommendation: Wade will meet with Miami coach Erik Spoelstra to determine his availability for the Heat's final two games. "It's coach's decision," Wade said after the Heat secured the fifth seed with a victory over New York on Sunday. "I'm a player, and I'm going to wait on his decision and see what he asks for. That's why a game like [Sunday] was important -- to put ourselves in position, where if you want to rest your guys, you can." If we were betting on it, we'd lay money on Wade not playing in either game. He's played through several nagging injuries during the second half of the season -- most recently on a bum ankle in Sunday's win.

also I'm not usually one to go overboard with the whole "making your teammates better" thing, but KG definitely makes his teammates better, especially on D(but also with his passing on O).

I remember that I had it rated (for the sake of our draft).

Duncan>Admiral>Hakeem>KG

I think it's hard to argue one greater than the other... they are all so good.

if it makes you feel better, if you make it to the 2nd round I"ll be picking you over either of your two possible matchups.

He rarely gets mentioned in the "best passing big men" arguments, even though imo he actually is the best I've seen.
