What about the thing where they had 3 attempts at a Green-White-Checkered? What triggers the 2nd or 3rd attempts? Seems like finishing under a yellow was the whole thing they were trying to avoid with G-W-C right? Can you get me NASCAR's email so I can complain about this?

Yah pretty lame, most of the time they'd let them race in that situation, I guess there were still too many cars in the way back needing to get through that wreck. I don't know if anyone was catching Logano though, Harvick had his big run with Jr. on his back but kinda wasted it.

If the yellow flag would have happened on the green flag, then they would attempt a 2nd G-W-C, but as soon as they take the white flag any yellow flag at that point just ends the race.

They get multiple attempts if the caution comes on the first of two laps. Once the white flag flies, the next flag to fly regardless of what it is, ends the race. Always been like that

Rigged! They caused the wreck on purpose.

Clearly once Jeff Gordon realized he wasn't gonna win he decided to spoil everyone's fun by spinning himself out.

I really don't mind Lagano winning it though. He's really come into His own the last couple years. He's fun to Watch

Those stands look pretty empty. Were they full during the race?

The stands there hold something like 150,000 people..they are massive stands. NASCAR is lacking attendance to the tracks in the last few years.

That 20 lap stretch of nothing but 3 wide and somehow not wrecking was excellent.

Daytona and Talledega always have some of the best racing IMO. Some people hate the pack racing because it becomes such a crap shoot. But as a fan watching on TV it's nonstop hold your breath moments.

Race was pretty good. But I'm a casual fan so I want to see at least one car on it's roof by the end of the race.

And yeah, they should have let them race back instead of throwing the yellow. Kyle Busch ruined it for everyone.

It was Dale Jarrett, not Kyle Busch.

I blame Ryan Newman and Michael Waltrip. Bill Elliott (the leader) was trying to slow the pace down, but those 2 guys pushed the envelope creating a dangerous situation with Dale Jarrett stalled on the track just shy of the start/finish line.

The incident that ended racing back to the finish line after a caution:

It's a red flag condiition. All cars stop on the track and park at a weird angle, while they clean up the track. It's when they have a lot of cleaning up to do and can't do it with cars going around on a yellow flag. They also do it when they know they are going to take an excessively long time with the set amount of laps running down, and cars running low on fuel.

There's probably numerous non-essential reasons as to why they park at a weird angle. I'll go with being able to see things and sponsor visibility.

And it was right after Robbie Gordon forced his way past harvick at Sears point. NASCAR was already looking to change the rule then Jarrett's sitting duck near catastrophe at louden.

They park at an angle because that is the way the track is banked, so if their starter doesn't work they can roll down the hill and bump start the car.

They let them race back during the xfinity race. Then everyone went crazy because Busch got hurt. It's a knee jerk reaction.

Kinda like the Kurt Busch thing.

At the time I posted that the bleachers in the middle still had sporadic people in them. The bleachers to the right were completely empty - which signified to me they were never occupied.
