Obviously some code for a player that should be drafted soon.

HSP,

That was cute, but you already know what I think of you as a poster (though you've been better lately). Consider this your last warning on player hints as well.

KJ nerfed it, not me. I thought I had turned it into something profound.

Who are the resident PER experts that I can PM with a question? I'm comparing two players that have similar-looking stats but one has a noticeably higher PER

yeah this thread died somewhat with the recent slow(er) picks and lack of player-specific commentary

Seriously? This thread is growing as fast as any thread I can remember in SE history.

Then take whichever one YOU like best. Don't be afraid of "making a mistake." I'd rather people think for themselves and then debate and defend their picks....makes things more interesting.

I was considering taking KJ over Dumars. In the end injuries and better defence on Dumars' part were the reason I took him. Nice pick, good teaming with Nique.

Edit: Just looked through the other thread to see who Daugherty was teamed with. Not sure how I feel about that pick, injuries just destroyed that guys career. Scrolling through that thread allowed me to see the Bynum pick again tho, still a good laugh.

If you would've taken KJ people would have bowed to you (see McHale pick).

Mchale pick?

I really dont like the Daugherty pick now I think about it. An injury riddled big man to team with Scotty? I think KJ would have been awesome there. His explosiveness means that the team has two guys who excel in running the point in completely different styles. With both on the floor, other defenses would really struggle to key on you're style and put a stop on you.

Without looking at any numbers, from what I remember he was a sieve. The numbers might prove me wrong, though.

I think if you have Scotty, you should probably get a big man - another passer isn't your biggest concern, and you'll probably run your O through Pippen anyway.

I don't think Daugherty was the guy, though.

From what I remember, he was pretty decent during his prime. With Stockton being a 10 and Deron being a 4, I'd put KJ at around 6. Kept everything in front of him for the most part, pretty active with his arms.

I told GKA to take a look at him in the first round (I figured he'd take PaulP because he was a steal at the time and GKA is a C's guy). I tried to trade my pick, KG, to anyone at the bottom of the draft to get Pierce and Nance.

I disagree with this, Dumars >>> KJ, I think Dumars was a very good pick especially when I found out he could play PG also.

16. Dirk - haha
19. Clyde - probably should be about 65th
21. Mchale - wow

Yao - should be much higher
Amare - should be much higher
lol stockton was a sick pick and should have went at exactly #11 (everyone in the top 10 was better, but he shoulda went before Chris Paul, Malone, and Barkley.)

And lol at thinking Amare should be higher, let alone much higher than McHale. You obviously don't know much about NBA history at all. I will break it down for u in simple terms tho.

Offense:

McHale >> Amare

Rebounding:

McHale >>>>>>> Amare

Defense:

McHale >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>> Amare
