What about people who used top 20 picks on players that aren't among the all-time greats or in the hall of fame?

He was being sarcastic because of BigCat's first pick James Worthy and his defense of the pick totally contradicts the Bosh pick

Rodman was one of the three I wanted to trade up for. Post defense is so vital to winning. God, a Rodman/Duncan combo would've been sick on D and on the boards. Only two wanted players left....100% sure one of them won't slip to me at my pick, not sure about the other one. May still want to trade up if anyone wants to trade down. PM me if interested.

I think I know at least one of the players Assani wants, and I'm willing to get into a bidding war. So, also PM if interested.

Maybe. If you totally forget the negative aspects of Hill, which you shouldn't.

I don't think he'll ever have a top 3 season. Hes not a bad player, but 22/9/2/1 just isn't that great especially when you shoot under 50%(as a big man) and don't play great defense. Theres just too much other talent in the league who will have better seasons than him. Also he appears to have hit his peak as his last 3 years have been nearly identical, while other players are still trending upwards.

I'm probably coming across as bashing Bosh, and thats not my intention as I don't hate the pick though.

I don't think his defense is anything noteworthy but I also think that comparing him to a poor defender is unjust. Granted, there are plenty of guys on this list who are "one sided" players. I don't feel that the pick should require a lot of convincing, most guys thought I got him at a good spot, those who did not agree will not be getting any trade requests from me! lol peace out
Priorities man, priorities....

Also wtf...you're saying that you won't trade with people who disagreed with your pick???

I said I liked the Reggie pick in round one, given that we switched to reverse snake.

Then Rodman with the second pick? Ugh. Really hate that combo.

i wish i could just say people i would picture in my mind that would just "work" with Reggie, but it's against the rules, which is unfortunate, because it could spawn interesting discussion.

Heres a list of guards/SFs who have more All Defensive Teams than Dumars and are eligible for this draft:

Gary Payton
Scottie Pippen
Jason Kidd

and 3 players who havn't been drafted so I won't name them.

None of these 6 players come close to being able to score as efficiently as Dumars while shooting a decent number of shots.

Dumars was an elite defender and an elite efficient bulk scorer. There are other guys who are decent at those two things, but in this draft you need elite not just merely good as your best players. I still think Dumars is a great pick and way undervalued by everyone bashing him here.

No... it's just that if they are hating on the Bosh pick then they probably won't be offering me trades for him...

I never said McHale was underrated in this draft, although he is def underrated in most peoples eyes (not the people in this draft tho since most of them think he is sick).

He was very underutilized throughout his career cause he was on a stacked team and also played the 6th man role too.

He could easily have been the #1 option on a championship team assuming you put the right parts around him.

Rodman should actually really drag a team down in this format especially as high as he went.
Rodman was very efficient on offense and was a good passer...I don't think he would hurt your O at all. And he was underutilized at the beginning of his career, and that doesn't mean that he wasn't good right away imo. Moreover he was always a great defender...he just didn't get recognized for it with All Defensive Teams until later in his career.

Eh I have revealed way too much of my strat as is, so I will keep my mouth shut until after the draft. Remind me to talk about this topic somemore when the draft is in its final rounds/over.
