Actually forget it, Steroid you can co-own with me, I'm interested in this now but there's a decent chance I'll lose some interest near the end and I haven't done much research in welterweight and lightweight yet.

Might as well give SB the Chilltown/Untouch team since it looks like neither is really interested in picking a team.

Wrane you need to decide who gets the dead team, which is currently on the clock, otherwise this draft is ground to a halt.

Sorry, just got back from dinner. SB has been first in line so I think he should get the Chill/Untouchable team.

SB you're on the clock.

We went out and bought a bunch of 'hot pot' japanese stuff and just came back, dumped it into a giant pot and went at it. We had like the whole deal. Fish balls, cow meat, pork, chicken, veggies, shrimps, tofu, a bunch of random seafood, oysters, more random things, udon, etc.

NATURES PERFECT PREDATOR

With the 2nd Pick of the 2nd Round I am taking an obvious 1st round selection arguably a top 3 maybe even the #1 pick which will dominate the middleweight division, The Komodo Dragon. Mother****er better be serious its a goddamn dragon

Quote:
The Komodo dragon's keen sense of smell, if aided by favorable wind, enables it to seek out carrion. up to 5 miles (8.5 kilometers) away. Despite its size, the Komodo is fast moving and agile. They can climb trees and like all monitor lizards they are good swimmers.

Their teeth are laterally compressed with serrated edges, resembling those of flesh-eating sharks. They have about 60 teeth that they replace frequently and are positioned to cut out chunks of its prey. The highly flexible skull allows it to swallow large pieces of its food. The Komodos mouth is full of virulent bacteria and even if its prey survives the original attack, it will die of infection later. In addition, recent research suggests that the Komodos have a venom gland which is more important in disabling their prey.
Quote:
f the prey is a large animal, the Komodo dragon goes for the leg, tearing the hamstring. When the animal is down, it then goes for the throat and belly. If the prey if small, it goes directly for the throat and belly. It can also disembowel prey with its powerful clawed feet. Dragons are good swimmers and may swim the long distance from one island to another. Like other monitors, they swim by undulating their tails, their legs held against their bodies. They can also dive and stay underwater, some say up to 100m.
Basically, badass serated edge teeth. Virulent bacteria in their saliva. Venom Glands. Crazy Strength. One bite and youre ****ed.

By the way, I'm thinking about making this reverse-snake for the first 4 rounds. Essentially, switching up 3/4 to give more value to the lower spots considering this is very top heavy. Then snake again for speed from 5-10.

yes/no?

This is not top heavy at all, the #1 featherweight isn't even taken yet, and even if you only get the #3 in a class or something, you'll still have an advantage over 7 other teams in that class, and I guarantee there will be sleepers.

don't think its necessary at all. There are 5 weight classes for which to dominate.

Was actually looking up the Komodo Dragon earlier. Thought people would forget about him, and would be able to get him later in the draft. Only thing worrying about him is speed

TBH, not a fan of that pick...

Quote:
growing to an average length of 2 to 3 metres (6.6 to 9.8 ft) and weighing around 70 kilograms (150 lb).
Right there is it's first weakness. In a class from 100-500, 150 is really low. Considering the middleweight right now is the deepest and strongest, which Gorillas/Anacondas/Tigers/Lions/Crocodiles/Jaguars make up of, 150lb is clearing the lowest of these.

The 1-bite kill thing is nice and all, but this is a battle to the death. Unless the dragon can dodge the other animal for 3 days and wait for the bacteria to set in, the other animal is going to win first. The size is also a concern as everything else is pretty much bigger but just as fast. The gorilla imo would absoluetly destroy the komodo dragon. Maybe it is better than some others for fighting the snake because he's much smaller and agile, but I don't see how this is going to fair up against a lion/tiger/etc,etc.

However, the skin/armour might be useful towards sharp claws, but that's about it. If anyone of these cats gain back-position, it's pretty much over unless I can be convinced otherwise. The middleweight right now is such a rock-paper-scissors. Each has it's own weakness that could be exploited by another animal but also brings an aspect that can dominate one.

may be bias since we took the only featherweight, but I'm pretty sure scorpion is #1 feather

Steroid Boy, I disagree completely with your claim that the komodo dragon is natures perfect predator. In fact I do not think its even in the top 30 or so. However, for this format I think its a fantastic pick. SirOsis and I disagreed pretty strongly on this pick, his main beef was that it would definitely kill its opponent, but could he do it before he died? I think so, but he disagreed. They are very fast creatures, have a disgusting mouth full of teeth and bacteria, and claws on all feet. But you know what? I think a cougar can beat it! Oh well, its probably one of the best middleweight fighters IMO.

Edit: You should probably enter it at welterweight since a 100 lb one would pwn face.
