Aldo's coach said that the safest bet for him against CM is to take the fight to the ground.
May be true but not sure if Aldo can even take him down. And no idea if Aldo's ground game is any good(I know, black belt in BJJ but still, I'm skeptical)
It just sucks for Aldo that his style is all wrong for McGregor.

If he beats Aldo again it will still not be at 155 so we still won't know how CM will fare. I would enjoy an Aldo rematch but now I am tired of rematches. I do think beating Aldo again will be big, but so was beating Diaz even though they were at 170, IMO McGregor would have looked better if they fought at 155.

Who are the top 2-3 guys deserving of a title shot at 155? I was think 1 could have a title shot before Connor does, but Alverez just fought a month ago so not sure how schedule lines up, Connor would have to fight someone else. Have CM fight RDA and winner gets a shot.

From a pure business aspect, why would Mayweather and McGregor not set up a boxing match? Obviously it's the only format that PBF would do, so it has to be done there.

But it would for sure, guaranteed be the most watched event in PPV history. My god it would be disgusting. It would be both of their biggest paydays by far. PBF would have an easy win, and Conor would lose but make what, 5x? 10x? 20x? what he would with a regular fight.

You couldn't do the gimmick thing routinely and make it big, but with both their personalities, the hype behind this would be incredible.

I have to admit I would watch the PBF vs Conor circus match but not paying the $100 or so they would charge obv lol
RDA vs McG next would also be great.

IDK, I don't see May/McG getting half the PPV as May/Pac did, and that fight sucked. Man, the more I think about a May/McG fight the more awful it becomes, just stupid.

If CM beat Aldo again it would really put him up right there at the top.
So yeah it would be huge.

Conor vs Khabib , winner for the title shot i would have no problem with that.
Worst match up ever for conor and if he could pull that $h!t up, he would deserve any title shot at 155 he wants.

I could settle down for conor and cerone and the winner for the title shot.
The last 2 fight for cerone at 170 was impressive for me.

ps:CM vs floyd, really why ? Anyone really think conor would have any chance ?
The only good thing that would come off of that is too see how far off an underdog CM could reach ?

If Conor fought Floyd it's possible he wouldn't land a single punch

Ufc wouldn't put Conor vs Khabib ever in life for title eliminator, Khabib is the future champ & his size & wrestling is the toughest out for pretty much everyone in that division.

I don't know much about this sport but what are people's take on McGregors chin? Looks to me like he can take a shot.

I can't say for certain that it's ever been tested. He's so sharp with his boxing and so quick that nobody has ever rocked him that I can recall. Even when Diaz beat him up in the first fight it was more of a cardio issue than anything

Rocked him no, but he has left his hands down and let guys like Mendes tee off of him. So he sure thinks he has a good chin.

I would say he's got a solid chin. He's young and his style lends itself to taking little damage.

Unless he trains like a Brazilian, he should be in a good shape. 155 should provide a decent challenge, but I don't think there are too many extraordinarily heavy hitters there at present.

Afaik, Aldo had been wanting to move up to 155 before the McG fight. He had a fight with Pettis scheduled 2 years ago that he pulled out of. A McG-Aldo fight at 155 in the future is def a possibility.

Conners power punches would probably be 1 or 2 in a 12rd fight.

The match-up faced several hurdles, but Pettis pulled out of UFC 163 with an injury, then after another attempted match-up Pettis was put on TUF with Giblert. The only time Aldo gave any trouble with the match-up was when the UFC balked at him keeping his belt if he moved up to fight Pettis. All of this is kinda funny now looking at how easily Conor is being granted LW title shots. Maybe Aldo should have hired Chael as an English tutor.

Floyd could just pull a Homer Simpson by letting CMG punch him for three rounds until he gets tired and falls over due to exhaustion.

Hadn't watched the Conor post fight presser until just now, tremendous respect for the way he handled himself and the things he said. Losing to Nate may have humbled him ever so slightly.

Yeah, same here. It would have been so easy for him to come out all cocky at the presser. Thought it was great that he showed Nate some respect.

Aldo probably just thinks he can get a big payday because of the circus Conor has created. Problem there is Conor doesn't want a rematch, not only that but Aldo called him a pussy on twitter. IDK about you but I'm not honoring a rematch with someone who insults me on twitter. And fyi there's a difference between insults between two guys who are ready to fight and random salty insults cause you lost in 13 seconds.

Conor should just fight someone else. **** Aldo.

I can see a fighter not wanting to fight someone that may or may not pull out of a fight. Connor said the Aldo fight went on for 2 years and then he knocks him out in record time, IDK if I would be in a hurry to sign up for that fight again. I know injuries happen and people pull out but when you don't need to fight someone, you might as well find an opponant where you are not worried about training for nothing.

There are plenty of fights CMG can sign up for that will be probably just as good. We get a Connor knockout, a war, or Connor gets knocked out all are exciting.

It's just not exciting to him nor the fans when he has a 155 belt, gsp and maywether options stacked up next to it. I hope for 155 idc if it's for the belt or cowboy just make it something new. Although cowboy gets me much more excited it won't sell as much and creating a fake beef again would be annoying

Joe Lauzon still one of my favs.

Caught Miller's leg, stepped over it then took him down into a heel hook. Never seen anything like it before.
