Lot of untapped oil out there.
From what I heard Rogan say recently, the Fight Pass subscription numbers are pretty high....and I agree, that sort of model is huge.

What exactly is Fight Pass?

Just has all the non-PPV fights and huge archive? cost?

edit: Looking at it, doesn't seem to have much. Early access to international fights and prelims.

It has all the ufc, strike force, pride, and some other organizations fights. All of ufc included except the most one or few recent ppv's. I like fightpass.

It also has Invicta, weird stuff like Shooto Brazil live, and PPV's go up 30 days after the event.

On the international side, it's not 'early access', it's fights that aren't going to be broadcast on TV here at all.

It's a really good way to support the product without paying through the nose for ppv

Like jefe said, it has random stuff like live UK CageWarriors streams in addition to every past event for PRIDE, UFC, Strike force, etc

UFC still has plenty of huge fights coming up. They are set into 2017 in terms of star power.

Conor Vs Aldo
Conor Vs NAte
Rousey Vs whoever
Rousey VS holm
Brock Vs whoever

and then that rumored Conor vs Mayweather (LOL) plus if Bisping keeps winning (LOL)

I'm just really pumped for the Diaz rematch. Honestly I think Nate will stomp Conor in round 1 but IDK.

It is an interesting thought exercise to see who the next big things might be.

I think the Women's 145 division is actually going to be a medium-good draw for the next 2-3 years even if Ronda loses and her star power fades. Ronda's star will either explode again if she takes back the belt, or rub off on whoever beats her. If it's Holm, Holm will probably be a reasonably good draw. Holm v Nunes would be a killer matchup and I'd watch that. Nunes also entertaining. 145 will be fine.

Even if Conor loses to Aldo and fades, Aldo should be a big star. Him dominating in a huge card like UFC200 and then beating Conor would make him a big draw. Obviously if Conor beats him, there's no problem (for the UFC).

Bisping kinda sucks but as long as he's got the title he'll do great biz in the UK. He'll be fine as a medium-level draw.

HW should be fine - Brock will come back and either win (god level ratings) or lose and rub off on someone. Cain will fight for the title soon and he should be medium level draw. Overeem and JDS are still fun and have the 'look' that sells. HW will be fine.

The divisions that are actually in trouble (ratings wise) are LHW, bantamweight and flyweight. Mighty Mouse is awesome but just isn't ever gonna draw. DC is a wet paper bag who is only interesting if Jon Jones is across the cage. Dominick Cruz isn't that compelling, and neither is anyone else at 135.

Stephen Thompson is probably the best bet for 'next breakout star' imo. He has a boatload of draw potential - he's headed for a title shot very very soon, and his style is awesome to watch. He's like an all-american Lyoto Machida. Nate Diaz is suddenly super high profile at LW, if he beats McGregor again I wouldn't be surprised to see him headlining giant PPVs.

Aldo has been around forever, beating McGregor isn't going to make him a big draw. Cain isn't a big draw either.

I agree that Thompson could be the next big star. He is in the McGregor mold of elite striker.

I'd Aldo smashes Conor like he has some others he will certainly increase his draw.

-Agree with Cody.
-Wonderboy ldo.
-Diaz IMO is getting better and will also get more play no matter who he fights. His win over Michael J. was impressive as hell (I'm a certified longtime fan boy tho)
-Korean super boy looks like he could be the real deal to me and brings some international flavor besides Brazil. A nondescript, skinny dude who knocks ripped dudes out cold in the first round with the sweet science is a good narrative as long as it lasts.

That's why I called Cain a medium draw, which I think is accurate.

I think anyone who beats Conor is going to get a boost to their drawing power. If Aldo does it, then there's going to be a trilogy fight at some point. Draws rub off, and Jose had never had this much exposure or as good of a foil as Conor. UFC 200 + a trilogy with McGregor = One of the most well known fighters in the UFC.

one of the less surprising positive tests

oh well. there was always the chance that Brock was only going to come back for one fight anyways, so I guess one fight is what we got. I wonder if he just didn't give a **** and took everything, planning on it only being one fight for lots of $$$$$.

It is kind of a bummer we can't see a Rothwell/Brock fight or a JDS/Brock fight or something like that.

Really disappointed in Brock and the UFC. Hunt was livid on twitter and rightfully so. Dana owes Hunt a lot of cash. They better test Diaz and Mcgregor NOW so that fight doesn't get ****ed up. Who knows how leniant they are with Conor though.

Hunt wouldn't even be on the card without Brock. And huge lol at being disappointed in Brock. The whole thing was a circus from its inception.

So does this mean Brock won't be in the Olympics? he he

NFL would probably take him now, though.
