Cribbing from a post I made in the Jon Jones RutRoh thread

-----------------------
Jon Jones is pretty much confirmed as an awful POS human being.

If Jon Jones was in a bigger sport, he'd be the most hated athlete in the world imo. He's already like a top 5 of all time MMA fighter at 27, and he's such a massive prick, criminal and hypocrite. I guess Mayweather is the only good comparison, but Mayweather at least plays up the whole villain thing and knows who he is. Jones still tries to sell himself as a humble christian babyface hero. It's infuriating.

The list
  • Admits being proud of being a snitch for things like weed
  • Later caught with weed, of course
  • Positive test for cocaine which got zero punishment because of technicality
  • Does literally a day of rehab, lol
  • Hit and Run pregnant lady
  • Hilarious bitch who flees the scene, runs back for cash and flees again, but too dumb to grab his weed
  • Probably driving high in this case
  • Gets DUI, slap on the wrist
  • Insists that he is a god-fearing christian, role model, choir boy, etc. Even quoted as saying you would "never catch him getting DUIs", early in his career
  • This good god-fearing christian role model was riding with two very attractive young women when arrested for DUI, neither of whom was his fiance
  • Wussied out of fight with Sonnen, a clearly smaller and less talented fighter
  • constantly eye pokes as a strategy, mocks the opponents he eye-pokes on instagram
  • Wrote homophobic slurs on instagram and then claimed he was [HACKED]
  • Instigated a brawl at a presser
  • Lied about losing sponsorships because of the brawl for no real reason

I feel pretty comfortable calling him a scumbag.

Great card last night. Bectik, the two Oliveira's and Condit were highlights.

English kid Till wasn't bad, interview was great.

Condit is a stone cold killer.

In Poland? She'll be an equal or bigger star than Rousey is here, even if she occasionally loses

I think the potential is there for her to become one of ufc's stars, gr8 corki personality, semi attractive & fun fighting style in a competitive division. The 135lb womens division is pretty trash, Ronda imo got to where she is by being out spoken & thrashing every celeb she could to put her name out there. Joanna won't do such things, but she's more fun imo, i wanna see her do well..

She'll be a great champion, though. Exciting to watch, and interesting personality.

^^^ If you consider Ronda fat ass attractive then Joanna is definitetly attractive as well.

Ronda was irrelevant b4 she started to talk about Michael phelps etc & got publicity for it, hope Joanna doesn't go that route but yet still garners the same fame, if not by the masses but by hardcore mma fans.

Female UFC stars are no more than gimmicks IMO.

Majority of time it is like watching bum fights.

Test would be an all female PPV show and it's hardly surprising we haven't seen a one of those yet.

Women mma is new though, it will get better technically let's say in 5-10years time. The mens divisions were filled with pretty raw one dimensional talent as well in the early days.

With that said though, the womens 115lb division is >> 135lb division by far, more skilled fighters & it will be more competitive. Ronda ability to take down everybody n submit them in seconds with the same technique speaks more to how shallow & weak the division is more than it speaks to how good Ronda is.

The reason womens MMA and Rousey have some hype is because the novelty. I don't see women selling PPVs over an extended time period.

Cain/Werdum anyone?

Cain should crush but 2yr layoff

Werdum has a punchers chance. And he wins on the ground plus layoff.

Cain is ****ing done! Put some money on the poor guy.

I'm surprised he's let Fabio up when he got him down in the first considering his wrestling background and the reach/height disadvantage.

Yeah wow he seems exhausted.

Werdum looks exhausted as well.

Werdum def exhausted after letting the late 2nd round KO get away. Cain was done in that last 15 secs if Werdum wasn't so tired.

edit: ****.

My wife even said put money on Werdum because the odds were so bad on Cain at -500.

Man, I even put the money on the huge favorite at the last Fight Night show and lost that in the first minute. Going to start betting the dogs in main events.

Werdum spent a month+ in Mexico City whereas Cain only spent two weeks(and even then had to be persuaded to not fly in just for fight week)

This is something I will never understand, I can see some lowly fighter doing this but any serious ranked fighter, let alone the heavyweight Champion is absurd.
