Grabbed in-game Over 3.5 at +170. ATL's gonna have a million chances while PTFC has to push everyone forward.

My 4th-grader's school had an Atlanta United spirit day on Friday. He refused to dress up for Falcons spirit day earlier because we're Packers fans. He was upset that my wife gave him red and black to wear on Friday because he only wants to cheer for Wisconsin teams. When she told him Wisconsin doesn't even have an MLS team, so it's cool to support Atlanta, he said, "I don't care - Wisconsin should get a soccer team, then!"

Not sure if it's a battle worth fighting, but I appreciate his loyalty to me.

I know there are a couple of ATL United fans on here, congrats on the championship.

ATL United has been a fun team to watch, hope they can keep an exciting team together.

1st championship I've experienced as a state of Georgia sports fan. Don't remember 95' Braves. Feels good, man.

I was born in downtown atlanta in 1990, so I was too young to experience the 1995 braves world series win.

I WAITED MY WHOLE LIFE FOR THIS!

That was pretty awesome last night. Happy for all the natives who get to celebrate something, and glad I arrived in ATL just as United did.

they had a parade in downtown this morning.

I'm actually super excited for concacaf champions league starting up in February. Winning that, in my opinion, is better than winning MLS cup.

I have a few other thoughts after being at the game and the way the week went leading up to it. I don't want to poo-poo this victory. I don't blame the team, I don't blame Arthur, but I do have complaints about many ATL utd fans. I don't think the guys in this thread are among them, but let's just say there's a lot of phoniness going on here.

I have a big problem with the way "fans" scalped tickets to other fans for 2-5x face value. That's my biggest gripe. Fortunately through a connection I ended up getting 4 200-level seats for less than face from someone inside the organization. Was kinda cool trading texts with a pretty well known ATL UTD name to get in.

I agree, but don't think it's a widely held opinion.

Hopefully with some legit MLS teams emerging it can grow CCL into a much bigger competition. I think it helps when teams like ATL are involved that have Latin American studs like Josef, Almirón, and Barco.

I sure hope it's not widely held. Would love to go to the games here and not have to deal with much hassle

Yea it was really awesome seeing by far the best team win MLS Cup and a team who spent money on actual good players in the prime instead of DP'ing and ****ty American "star" like Michael Bradley. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come in the future and ATL continues to spend and has a real go at the CCL. Would love to see an MLS team finally win that. Happy I get to see a Mexican team at RB Arena too

the pure scalping was mostly falcons PSL holders who got to buy between the season ticket holders and the public, not united season ticket holders. most of the fans do suck but thats true of any collection of people.

they really shouldnt let pre-sale tickets be transferrable but the leagues are in cahoots with the crooks at ticketmaster cashing in with double fees on every sale of the same ticket

I don't know, on the atl utd ticket exchange facebook groups, for every 1 guy selling tickets for face or face + fees or a bit more, there was 8 guys selling tickets saying "well this is what ticketmaster secondary is charging!"

I think a lot of ATL UTD fans also just threw their tickets up there for exorbitant amounts and figured well if some sucker buys it i'm ok with not going.

Look free country anyone can do what they want, but i also feel that is pretty plastic

I sold some tickets, but also still went to the game. I was just f5ing ticketmaster for the general release after the second leg of the conference final (not any for of presale or season ticket access) and bought then and resold later. That covered my ticket, beers and food for the friends I went with, and a little extra even after round-tripping the fees.

Selling tickets you have doesn't mean you have to pass on the chance to go yourself. You can easily do both.

Cincinnati expansion draft tomorrow. Available players listed here: https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018/...xpansion-draft

Jeff Larentowicz perhaps the biggest name available, but of course recent expansion picks have been used for trade bait instead of roster building.
