I must confess, Zlatan was a nice warm up act for tonight's main event, Wondo. Great to see the league sign more supporting pieces.

Already 1 up thanks to an assist from our Swedish man Eriksson

NYC hoofing the ball endlessly around the backline 'cause they have no one with the ambition or skill to take on a defender and thereby create space. Zero speed to the play. Unwatchable at times still this product.

ATL/MIN might be competitive now that ATL is down a man thanks to Gonzalez-Pirez being a moron

It is. It was in reply to Stone asking "What are your thoughts on the welcome mat this crowd has laid out for you?"

It's Minnesota, they probably needed a 3-man advantage to have a chance.

WTF just happened in Seattle? Completely benign play, the announcers and I are wondering why the **** they're even wasting our time reviewing it, then the Sounder gets a red card. VAR sucks, but I'll take it.

Yah, announcers kept showing the replay of the initial challenge where Leerdam undercut him a bit on an aerial challenge that was nothing. The touch to the face makes sense.

LOL at Montreal for letting Seattle control the match while down a man. Still they've gotten consecutive clean sheet wins against the 2 reigning Finals participants so there could be something there. Team looks much better with the recent additions, and Alejandro Silva could finally be the offensive threat needed to take pressure off Piatti to do everything.

I know Zlatan GOAT and all that...

but is LA FC's loss today the worst outright loss in MLS history?

No, Columbus losing a whole franchise is.

They were saying during the broadcast Seattle did it to DCU last year.

I think they said that was the only other 0-3 to 4-3 win in history and that 0-3 to 3-3 has happened ~12 times.

Sure, but it took an hour to drive back to Hollywood on Saturday afternoon from Carson. LAFC games will be on multiple rail lines. It’s a big difference. The Angels aren’t an LA team either, regardless of Arte Moreno’s branding.

I loved watching sunday night MLS opening weekend, hope they do it again, I haven't really examined the schedule.

For inquiring minds:

April 8 - 9 PM ET

GaZLATANxy vs SKC

April 29 - 9 PM ET

veLAFC vs Seattle (Home debut - Banc of California Stadium Opener)

The latest Sunday games on the other 2 April dates are 6PM. May seems to have only one 8:30 Sunday game (LAFC) and one Sunday 7PM game (Atlanta)

BUMP

for Toronto vs Club América

Toronto missing Mavinga and Vazquez, and to a lesser extent, Morrow (who makes the bench)
