I chalk it up to season tickets being super affordable for great seats compared to basketball or baseball (and lol even starting to compare football).

I think the cheapest HAWKS/Braves season tickets (my only comparison) are both around $450/seat. Average supporters section season ticket for MLS was $325 when I last checked, and the most expensive was ~$475 for DC United.

Every non-club seat for NYCFC is < $1000/seat for the season. link
Orlando City's are all below $800 link
Toronto FC's are a bit more expensive, but not crazy link

Either way, if you're a passionate soccer fan the tickets really are a great deal.

There are also only ~ 20 matches to pay for stretched from March to November .... that is just way more feasible to attend than any other sport imo.

Incredible start! Need to avoid an away goal conceded if at all possible.

Oduro on the wing and Cameron Porter up top already paying dividends. Piatti back to looking elite thankfully.

Probably need to take off Donadel, he's looking a bit slow and already on a yellow. Clearly Montreal are trying to foul to break up any Ala counter.

Well, yes. You wouldn't expect them to be the team to break the Mexican stranglehold on it. But at this point, why not? 2-0 HT.

The 1st year of the expanded CCL format was 08-09 and since then all 6 winners have been Mexican and 5 of 6 runners up have been Mexican. The only reason Real Salt Lake made the finals in 2011 was because all 4 Mexican sides that made the quarterfinals were matched up on the same side of the bracket, meaning a max of only 1 could make the finals.

Montreal stunned Pachuca leaving only Club America remaining. CA lost 3-0 in the 1st leg yesterday though, so there's a strong chance there won't be a Mexican team in the Finals this year.

2-0 final, awesome result.

Not sure what the analyst was on about with his thinking that Montreal should really push for a 3rd. Conceding an away goal would have been devastating.

I can't believe how different Montreal looks from last year, it's night and day. The backline is all new and very well organized, the potential weak spot is Cabrera at RB and Ala seemed to be targeting him a lot, but they can put Camara there when healthy. Piatti when 100% is one of the most dangerous players in the league, and Duka, Oduro, and Porter all have their moments.

Interesting lineup for the Impact vs. the Revs:

-----------Porter--------------
Tissot - Alexander - Oduro
------Mallace - ReoCoker--------
Toia - Ciman - Cabrera - Camara
-----------Bush--------------------

I guess you had to expect they'd rest some players after the mid-week CCL match, but I'm not sure where goals will come from with Piatti resting (and last year's team MVP Romero still out). Backline should be solid enough with Cabrera shifting from fullback to his more natural CB. U2.5 might be promising.

Goddamn it, Cameron Porter with a gruesome left knee injury. That's 2 MLS matches and 2 nasty injuries for Montreal.

Porter was looking so promising, gutted for the kid.

Oduro went out with a knee injury later in the match as well. He took knee on knee contact and tried to continue for a couple minutes and couldn't.

Montreal got the 0-0 that they probably wanted.

Vancouver crushing souls in Orlando. Scored in the 95th minute on 4 minutes of stoppage time to win 1-nil.

Also, ugh at that Porter injury. In my quick view it didn't look like the turf caused it, just an awkward jump/landing, but I also hate injuries so I didn't keep watching it over and over.

Team starts play in 2017, owned by Falcons owner Arthur Blank.

So far only have a President (Darren Eales) and technical director (Carlos Bocanegra) on staff.
