Not watching but I'm shocked our USMNT captain is having a howler in an MLS game

Sporting just dominating play these last several minutes. A few good chances, no goals. High anxiety

They had about a dozen guys out and were down to their 3rd string keeper, a 21 year old homegrown player.

+900 was the line I saw right before kickoff. Big line, but the Craps are used to it. They were like +1200 when they traveled to LAFC last year.

This is kinda interesting. Apparently 11 of the last 13 major trophies have been won by teams that employ at least 1 analytics staffer. Sadly, IMFC are not part of that group. Probably why they've seemingly been mashing buttons on recent signings.

I find it hard to believe RB has no analytics person with such a big soccer hierarchy stretching many leagues

edit: they do lol https://www.newyorkredbulls.com/post...mance-analysis

Footnote in the Tweet accounts for that and Performance Analysts (like the lady for NYRB) aren't included since Data Analytics are probably only a small part of their job instead of being the entire point of their job.

Could be a pointless Tweet, but I'd definitely rather have the Impact with a person dedicated to Data Analysis than not.

f*ck all that. it's the beautiful game, not solve for x, y and zed .. equation... enter all the data into a malfunctioning Hal 9000 unit

lol get wreckt Seattle

For those of you that relentlessly exclude Bradley from the best managers discussion, do you just think we have the greatest front office ever? How else do explain this team?

I’ve watched a couple Orlando matches and I’m not gonna lie, they’ve looked excellent. Seattle-Orlando is a really tough draw, but should be a fun match!

Both are probably true tbh. And last year I called him a clear top 3 in the league (w/Almeyda). I think you could put Caleb Porter in that group as well based on past results and what he's doing with the Crew this season. Not sure who's hating on Bradley, he's obviously quite good.

FO hasn't missed on a whole lot of players. Rossi on 1 million is by far the best contract in the league, they have the best player in the league, and have hit big on a few guys in the 100-400k salary range which is crucial if you want a well-rounded roster with the salary rules.

Yeah the fact that none of the midfield trio (Atuesta, Kaye, Blessing) are DPs just opens the entire roster up.

I was mostly asking tongue in cheek, but I think whoever it is that is responsible for player development deserves so much credit. There are very few players in this league with a more impressive trajectory than Rossi (who will certainly be in Serie A soon imo) and Atuesta (who is rumored to be targeted by Ajax).

Couldn't sleep last night so caught about the last 30 minutes of the LA/Seattle game. The Seattle cb's made some of the most basic errors you can, 2 of which led to the last 2 goals once they got themselves back into the game. Are they always that bad or was this just a bad day for them?

Seattle controversially let go 2 of their top CBs in the offseason. Their main CB on the roster now was hurt and their #2, Arreaga who made tons of mistakes, barely cleared concussion protocol for this match. They nearly had to use a DM to start at CB if Arreaga didn’t clear. But yah, I’d say they clearly need help back there.

Doesn’t help that LAFC is uber talented and somehow had the legs to press hard almost the whole match. Which is impressive considering the Sounders were the team with a week of rest compared to like 4 days for LAFC. Another testament to Bradley that they’re so well conditioned.

This is hilarious. Only the Thumb could have a team with this much talent not win the league. He's not as inept as his son though

Cheers. I don't watch a lot of MLS so this clears up my question.
