lol nice non-first-touch mister right fullback.. the ball then bounces up and hits you in the chin

moments later the same fullback is left for dead, leading to the equalizing goal lol he's probably a fill-in for a teammate with Covid and he's not long for even the lowest pro league on earth

Yes, missed a good chance, almost killed a guy, then subbed off. The usual Dwyer match.

Uh yea that's an understatement. We have a pretty good team too but his hips move so easily and his first touch and hes gone. Impossible to track or keep up with it keep him in front.

I still dont know his name but a guy on our team who trains kids for soccer as his job told me he played for red bulls and there are blogs were hes pretty much universally known as the worst player to ever play for red bulls lol

work on your skillz, boyee.

what age did you start playing soccer? you're not likely to find pace, but you can develop other technique

My whole life lol. Like I said our team is pretty good but obv a former pro is on another level. I played since 6 years old through high school. Played basketball in college then picked it up again after college.

My point was more that the worst player in red bull and MLS is still really ****ing good compared to 37 year olds with say jobs since college.

Hopefully Rennes will spend a bit more and make a legit go of it in UCL. It was an awful Euro campaign for French teams besides PSG and OL.
Fair enough. I’m glad they’re spending cash, and am generally in favor of doing so on a 23yo with upside. SRFC do have a strong system that’s pretty well established, hopefully he can slot in.

Yah, I think it's a good signing for them. He'll do much better there and still super young.

Rennes are obviously far more consistent in their results.

Lyon can be world beaters when the right players are in form (wins over PSG, at the Emptyhad over City, Juventus) or they can be utter shyte. See: not even qualifying for Europe this season after 28 rounds. Although they had to have been massive faves to at least bink a Europa spot had the season finished.

Aulas runs a pretty tight ship financially, so I'm wondering if Lyon might be positioned as one of the who will be relatively unaffected by corona, although not getting UCL money might offset that. I do know that Marseille seems to be in shambles, but luckily for them, Payet just took a massive pay cut to stay with the team for life. It will be an intriguing league battle...for 2nd. Unless Camavinga happens to be the 2nd coming of Mbappé and all the young players from Rennes take like 3 steps forward at the same time like with Monaco a few years back.

Can’t see PSG dropping down next year. We’ve got great continuity into next year and are also really young, so I’m hopeful we can vie for 2nd and make another CdF run. Lotta decisions coming up though, and not just the giant Camavinga one. Need to figure out what to do with two other young guns Faitout Maouassa (22, converted from an attacking player to our starting LB last year) and Yann Gboho (19, really dynamic substitute).

That's what I'm saying though.

Provided Rennes can hang on to their young guys there are simulations where they all take a huge leap in quality and Rennes blow away prognostications and contend for a title. OTOH, they probably also finish like 15th way more often than Lyon could.

With Lyon and players like Memphis Depay, they are more consistent but you already know what you're going to get more or less. You could run 100 simulations and never find one where Lyon can overcome the talent deficit to PSG.

Monaco's key pieces were mostly 18-22 (Mmmbop, Mendy, Bakayoko, Lemar) when they pulled their shocker.

was expecting a bunch of 0-0 games, 3 combined total shots in these early games at least.

not as terrible as I had feared

Impact - Revs in 2 hours!

Many are saying this is THE match of the opening slate of games.

MLS superstar Victor Wanyama is saying the Impact "can shock many".

Revs added Bou late last year who really turned their fortunes and now they've added a pretty good Polish striker in Buksa to pair with him. Should have tons of firepower.

What’s up everyone!

Now that Liga MX (soon) is back, I’m back as well!

Some quick thoughts:
-Tigres going to ship the title. Leo Fernández paired up with Gignac is just too much for this league.
-what happened to Monarcas Morelia is ****ed up. I legit fear that may one day happen with Toluca.
-12 playoff teams this upcoming season (I think this is correct. Fossil, please correct me if I’m wrong) is ridiculous. My Toluca benefit since we blow, but I mean come on.
-From what I read, the scheduling delay has more to do with the league wanting to make sure that there are games on every day along with the Expansion league, but yeah, maybe the Corona is delaying it.

I’m even excited to watch some MLS! Thank god that our leagues are back!!
