Great game. Also improved massively because of video eliminating a lot of errors so it has to be a real gaffe.

This is getting absurd. The Cubs have given up 1st inning runs in 9 of their last 11 games. Their 1st inning ERA for the season is literally about 11.

It is thoroughly depressing. It's actually incredible at this point.

Wait. You think that was actually the umpire's decision and didn't come directly from higher ups during their conference call today?

Torre specifically said that he didn't want to have warnings imposed pregame, so the teams don't have to walk on eggshells the whole game. I'll find the article so it isn't fake news.

http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/b...senthal-050317

On the decision not to issue pregame warnings:

“I just don’t want guys walking on eggs. And I don’t want the umpires walking on eggs. The umpires know the situation. They get heads-ups in these situations. We want them to go about doing their business. We just want the players to play ball.”

****ing LOL - ump now throws Adam Jones out of the game for something he says to nobody at all while walking away back to the dugout after striking out.

Not a good day for that umpire tonight.

WHo is umping the RedSox - Orioles game? Now he just missed a blatantly obvious strike 3 (Top 6th, first batter)

I'm from mass and have been to numerous games in my lifetime, including several at fenway. I've seen people so drunk they couldn't stand up. Never in any of my time at fenway have I ever heard one racist comment. Even when Sox and Yanks had their rivallry never heard anyone use a slur against a yankees player including Arod. Worst I ever heard was actually abuse towards our own players. When terry would leave pitchers in too long the people in crowd would scream "take a little longer Terry". This is all bull**** and this racist moment was completely unusual for fenway. Anyone saying Boston is racist just holds that stupid bias against boston sports which I see all the time in this forum.

I have that game on a small screen and he was quietly running up the K count without me noticing, solid.

Major question in that game is how the **** did GG only give up 1 run in 5 while walking 7?

2 bad mistakes in a row last inning. Other than that, he's looked great. Can't expect someone to do much more than he's done against this lineup.

So multiple players, including Red Sox players, who have said they've heard people spew racist comments at players at Fenway are all talking ****? But hey, you've been to a few games I guess.

yes the people from last week said racist things but that isn't normal for fenway. CC Sabathia said he heard racist comments but he not reliable.

buddy i've been going to games since the 90s so believe who you want but I've never heard it.

On the other hand, you've got Eddy BRATZ on your side PC, so maybe you're right!

I don't have Eddy on my side

That's a stupid thing to say

I've never defended Boston, because it's a racist joke of a ****hole

Boston can easily be the most racist large city while not being comparably racist to the state of Missouri
