WTF is up with this move for the Rays?

BZA gets up with runners on first and second no out and Longo behind him, after the team just jumped out ahead by a run and they have him bunting?!?!?! Your second best hitter on the team and you want him to give himself up?

Will somebody explain this logic to me?

This game is about fundamental play. You have to get runners on base, you gotta bunt them over, you know, sacrifice yourself. Once you bunt them over then you gotta hit them in. If there's any problem with this, it's not with the bunt, but rather Longo not doing his job.

Harper with another HR. Hitting .360 with 7 HRs his last 20 games. Making a late push for NL ROY. Prob gonna fall short though still.

It actually worked out for the Rays as BZA fouled the two bunts off to start 0-2 and ended up walking to load the bases with Longo up, but just the SAC attempt is so stupid in that spot. Even if he gets the job done that takes the bat out of Longo's hands

The Braves have had the best pitcher in the NL over a ~6 week span TWICE this season and it's been two different guys.
