Bob Costas starts at approximately 20:00
Dick Ebersol at 40:00
Bud Selig at 49:00 (starts slow, but tells some good stories)
Hank Aaron at 62:00
Unveiling/Uke at 73:00 with a cameo song by Hank Aaron's wife

* Saturday's lineup offered a surprise, with outfielder Scott Podsednik hitting third for the first time this season and, in fact, the first time in 1,056 career games. (Podsednik has hit third in six games prior to Saturday, but each time was as an in-game replacement).

When asked about the unusual choice, Valentine offered a rambling bizarre explanation.

"Just a mistake,'' shrugged Valentine. "Is that what it says on the lineup? What the (expletive), switch it up. Who knows? Maybe it will look good. I haven't seen it.''

No music at Dodger Stadium right now...sound guy's laptop got crushed by a foul ball. Why can't this happen in every game?
09-01-2012 , 11:23 PM
since coming back from the suspension aceves has thrown 4 games in 5 days

28th: 1.2 innings, 24 pitches
29th: 2 innings, 33 pitches
yesterday: 1 inning, 21 pitches
today: 3 innings (and counting, possibly), 63 pitches

at what point does aceves just say **** you to valentine and throw the ball at his face? seriously, not even counting warmup pitches that's 141 pitches in 5 days
09-01-2012 , 11:31 PM
bard comes in for aceves

homer
single

shoulda left acevens in

i'm just gonna assume that the sox brass are keeping valentine around to further humiliate him for what has been arguably the worst season in red sox history.

The worst part about the O's loss today is EVERY other team in the WC hunt won today. Detroit beat Chicago, but that's good because they're going to pass them eventually anyway. Might as well give them as many L's as possible in the mean time.
