He wouldn't have gotten hurt if he'd just leaned into one

There's no reason to not run 60 feet past first base, bad injury.

Runner can advance once the ball touches the fielder or his glove

But it won't be a sacrifice. It goes as an error instead and the presumably slow runner will now be clogging the bases. I foresee a great shift to this new tactical defensive strategy coming now that this is all out in the open.

thought for a second that hamilton stole 2nd 3rd and home but realized that liriano is taking a walk on the wild side today.

Feel like I hit the mlb lottery. Got tickets before the season started for tonight's game and it ends up being Darvish vs Felix. Can't think of the last time I was so excited to get to the ballpark.

I'm only watching numbers, not the actual game. Is Cueto looking as nasty as the digits are suggesting?

Good move by Girardi in the Yankee game. On Catcher Interference the manager has the option to take the outcome of the play or the CI, but it's up to the manager to come out and tell the ump. The play resulted in a run, so Girardi took the run.

Of course no one in the TV booth has any clue what's going on. It's amazing to me that there's no one who can tell them the rules as they sit there openly speculating for 5 minutes about what happened. I mean... they are pro baseball analysts. They should know themselves...

Is that the correct move? Take the run and have no one on and 2 out or have runners on the corners with 1 out and Soriano coming up?
