Or blew out his arm and hasn't pitched in months...

It's the internet, hard to tell. BBV is that way. I could say the same about your posts. Why bother?

Alex Cobb has not given up a hit or walk and is now pitching in the 6th. There was an error to mess up the perfecto, blah.

No hits thru 6 now

Giancarlo being carted off the field after getting beaned in the face. I actually missed it, but it looks like he was bleeding so much the grounds crew actually has to clean up the batter's box.

Looking at him while in the cart (they have him laying on his side), it looks like it might've missed the eye. Looks like the nose and mouth got nailed. As I said, I didn't see it, though.

The pitcher looked pretty shaken up. Lucroy was kneeling with him, talking to him.

EDIT: Insult to injury, he actually swung at the pitch, so Reed Johnson gets an 0-2 count.

Gincarlo Stanton got hit in the face and was bleeding so much. Wow. He got carted off the field.

Edit: Stanton swung when he got hit, pinch hitter got hit on next pitch and benches cleared. This is unbelievable

JFC Jeff Wilpon....if true of course:

Quote:
Leigh Castergine, who oversaw ticket sales for the Mets, was fired on Aug. 26, 2014, after nearly four years of employment.

She alleges the harassment was initiated by chief operating officer Jeff Wilpon and that her complaints to human resources went unheeded.

The complaint reads: "He frequently humiliated Castergine in front of others by, among other things, pretending to see if she had an engagement ring on her finger and openly stating in a meeting of the team's all-male senior executives that he is 'morally opposed' to Castergine 'having this baby without being married.'

"Wilpon told Castergine that, when she gets a ring, she will make more money and get a bigger bonus," the complaint continued. "Castergine complained to the team's Human Resources Department. Wilpon responded by firing Castergine. According to Wilpon, 'something had changed' in Castergine after the birth of her child -- with still no ring on her finger. Wilpon told her she no longer was as 'aggressive' as she used to be."

Holy ****, things are getting heated in Milwaukee.

The first pitch to the PH was up and in, too (both were obviously unintentional), and Johnson swung. The ball hit his hand, but was called a foul ball, as it should.

Casey McGehee, who was on deck, started going crazy yelling at the ump (it looked like he was yelling at Mike Fiers, the pitcher). Fiers was all like "what the **** is your problem, I'm not trying to hit the dude." McGehee totally snapped, then the Miami bench emptied. When he saw that, Fiers got really mad and threw his glove/ball down in disgust. Then everyone came out of the dugouts/bullpens and one player, I think McGehee, might have actually shoved an ump to get into the fray.

The Miami manager got ejected. Things are still trying to get settled down.

Oh, looks like they actually called strike three on Reed Johnson since he swung at the ball. I guess since it hit his hand, it's not a foul.

EDIT: Watching the replay, I don't think the pitch would've hit Reed Johnson's hand if he didn't swing.

McGehee is normally pretty mild-mannered. He looked like he downed a vat of roids.

I wonder how many Brewers hitters will get beaned now.

If the Marlins were the Cardinals, I'd say two. If they were the D-Backs, I'd say four, plus Hank the Dog.

Well, it took about an inning and a half, but a Brewers batter finally got plunked. Intent was tough to tell, as the pitcher obviously trying to come inside (I'd lean towards unintentional), but since the teams had been warned, he was tossed.

I came in here to ask what the hell was going on in Milwaukee because there's been 4 ejections. That's nuts. Hopefully someone can post video later.

edit: ah,I missed it was the pitch after he knocked stanton out of the game by hitting him. Alright

There were so many odd things about the events in Milwaukee:

1) Two batters in a row getting strikes called on them when they were HBP.
2) McGehee, who wasn't hit, going ape**** on the first base ump for saying Reed Johnson swung at the pitch that hit his hand.
3) Separately, guys on the Miami bench yelling at Mike Fiers, who was totally rattled from possibly ending Stanton's season, then charging out of the dugout at him (multiple guys going after one pitcher).
4) Garrett Jones shoved the home plate ump to try to advance towards the mound.
5) Fiers was totally confused at first and when the Miami bench came out, he was irate, but never got involved in a fight (nothing really happened in general).
6) The second swinging HBP ended the innings, so the fans really had no idea what happened.
7) There was no retaliation by the Marlins until an inning alter (and it might not have been actual retaliation).
8) The Miami manager and bench coach have been ejected, so Brett Butler is the third base coach and acting manager.

In the end, it started with a really scary ball to Stanton's face and degenerated into butt hurt by the Marlins. Not that they didn't have reason to be upset about their star getting carted off the field, but neither of the two pitches Fiers threw were close to intentional. It was obvious how rattled he was.

Yeah, situation was weird after watching the videos.

Looks like McGehee and the dugout are yelling at the umpire that it's ridiculous to call it a strike, Fiers is like "da fuq are you yelling at" thinking it's directed to him when neither HBP seem intentional and he's clearly shook a bit, and then the dugout/McGehee see the dude that just beaned two people jawing at them and the bench clears.

Pretty crazy
