In his last seven starts, Bartolo Colon is 6-0 with a 1.58 ERA.

and he has a 2-game hitting streak

guy is out of control

And as I say that Billy Hamilton leads off the the 7th with a ground ball single up the middle off of Arrietas glove.

Of course, later in the game, the same batter GIDP. The forum was replete with results-oriented posts.

Virginia rallied in the 7th and scored a bunch of runs to go up 6-2 and lo and behold, they did it without bunting. Keeping my fingers crossed this lead holds up and we go to a deciding game tomorrow.

Ron Washington just made a pitching change down 8-1 in the 9th with 2 outs and no one on bass after Soria got VMART/JD to start the inning.

What the ****? Coke?

so this happened tonight and it seems pretty stupid:

http://deadspin.com/edwin-encarnacio...t-f-1595706418

clifs:

-encarnacion is nailed in the head by texeria as he falls backwards trying to pick a throw at first. looked like he got smoked in the back of the head solid.

-stays in the game after being down on the ground for a long time

-appears dazed at the plate and doesn't realize that he walks in his next at bat

no idea how he stayed in the game.

I don't understand this. Bases loaded, tie game, bottom of the 11th, full count, and the runners on 1st and 2nd are taking leads. WHY THE **** ARENT yOU STANDING ON THE BASE? Is the reason to block the fielder in case of a ground ball?

I am not aware of many balls that are easy force outs at 2nd or 3rd that wouldn't be just as easy to first.
