Twins lineup tonight:

Revere
Casilla
Cuddyer
Delmon
Luke Hughes
Valencia
Dinkelman (?, who is Dinkelman)
Tolbert
Butera

JFC. I think the ceiling for this lineup if everybody had 600 AB's is like 55 HRs combined (generous)

Don't know if this has been posted before, but it's a good opportunity to laugh at the Mets.

Forbes.com reported Wednesday morning that the hedge fund manager's agreement to buy a minority slice (33 percent) of the New York Mets for $200 million is even better than previously thought.

In three years, Einhorn can buy a controlling interest in the team from the Wilpons — a reported 60 percent — for just one measly dollar.

The only way that doesn't happen is if Fred Wilpon returns the $200 million that Einhorn is laying out so the Mets can pay some of their bills. Under that scenario, Einhorn would keep a 16 percent stake in the team as a lender's fee.

First look at a few scenes from the Moneyball film.

Really hope this doesn't end up being some ABC Sunday evening movie.

red sox go with the "LOL we can't possibly miss the playoffs we are too good. lets go with a six man rotation and give the kid some innings" plan
I thought I read something itt (maybe that you posted?) about a clause in Millers contract that made it go from like 600k to 3MM if he opts out and signs with someone else?

miller's deal is

- 700k if he's in the minors. can't find the figure exactly, but it's way more than standard minor league pay
- 1.3 million if he's in the majors
- 3 million club option for 2012
- he can opt out and become a free agent if he's not in the majors by some date
- if he's designated for assignment and claimed by another team, his 2012 option is guaranteed. miller is out of options, so this clause basically lets the red sox ship him back and forth from the minors like he was a rookie. doesnt matter now that the opt out date is here

If I were a billionaire, I would seriously just pay everyone involved with the movie to stop right now and burn all copies of any footage recorded.

Although it's pretty hilarious that Jonah Hill is playing Depodesta. Wonder if Depodesta withdrew his name from the project before or after they cast Hill?

For those who don't know, Depodesta is the opposite of Hill in body shape and mannerisms.

DePodesta pulled out after Hill was cast, but he was very complimentary of Hill and swore that wasn't the reason.

Baltimore must hate the Jays. They have 0 wins in their last 16 games in Toronto. That is pretty tough when you are running 0-16 against the 4th best team in the Division. Bet ya Baltimore is begging for any realignment.

Interesting, but useless:

53 of the 71 all-stars in 2006 are still on major league rosters. The two youngest, Jose Lopez and Scott Kazmir, are not.
