I don't know, having him go in with Maddux and Glavine would be kind of funny. It's the Sesame Street game HOF induction!

No, Schilling was clearly better than Glavine

wins are irrelevant

WAR 83.5 to 63.9

K/BB 4.66 (Schilling is 1st all-time) to 1.74

WHIP 1.14 to 1.31

etc.

I hate both of these players, but Schilling is much, much better.

This must be fWAR? bWAR has them much closer I think.

I agree in general though that Schilling was probably better. I think they're both pretty great though, not sure why anyone would hate either as a player (Schilling's a bit of a douche off the field).

Who cares about the Hall of Fame? If they didn't induct Bonds first ballot then what does it matter at all?

Enough said. First ballot for both.

I was a huge baseball/Astros fan at about the time they kept making the playoffs in the late 90s. I remember having to go up against the Maddux/Glavine/Smoltz trio and losing every time. It was brutal, Maddux was the best pitcher I ever saw. Ofc back then we had Biggio and Bagwell... would love to see all of them get in even though I know it won't happen.

So we pretty much get to lolbaseballwriters when Bonds misses again, and further lolbaseballwriters when Maddux somehow doesn't get in unanimously because somebody will submit a ballot that looks like this.

Casey - they called him the mayor. Everyone loves Seanny. Case-man definitely gets in.

Durham - before the 1998 season someone bet him he wouldn't get 15 homers and 15 steals by August. I haven't checked but I bet he did and I think that's boss. He should change his name to Ray Dunkman because he's a slam dunk, man.

Mattingly - New Yorkers love this guy. His mustache was incredible - get him in there.

McGriff - Crime Dog. The Griffer. G-style. Freddie Mac. Ken McGriffey Jr. Crimer gets in.

Morris - Anyone who thinks Jack shouldn't be in can get the hell out of My Country 'Tis of Thee. Back to back World War champs we are and Jack is the quintessential American Hero.

Hideo Nomo - You gotta get the Nomester in. He was the first Chinaman to play baseball and his windup was sick.

Kenny Rogers - Dude threw a perfecto. He's in. 'Nuff said.

Richie Sexson - Six-foot-seven-Richard-Sexson once hit a ball off the pole in center in Minute Maid. Ball woulda landed 470 but instead it was a double. He gets in.

Lee Smith - Saves. 'Nuff said.

Everyone else on the list was either a drug addict, wife beater, or cared more about WAR than moving runners over or driving the ball to rightfield.

Lol Arod Cuz. I was the farthest thing from a Maddux fan, but him not being a unanimous vote in will be the most ridiculous thing the HOF voters have ever done

I feel like Glavine is going to possibly miss this year due to other people splitting votes.

Maddux will get in. But there's going to be a ton of vote splits who will hurt most guys chances of getting 75%

Why does Crime-Dog just get a no, OP.

Also can you imagine anyone in pro sports having a nickname like that ever again.

Also I wholly support Nomo. Perhaps it was just the right time in my life but that first summer with Nomo was magical.

I don't see how Maddux can get a unanimous vote. I don't ever remember him facing Jim Rice, the most feared hitter in the game.

Here is the entire ballot:

Jeff Bagwell
Craig Biggio
Barry Bonds
Roger Clemens
Greg Maddux
Mark McGwire
Mike Piazza
Tim Raines
Sammy Sosa
Frank Thomas
limit of 10 is ridiculous with this ballot; anyone who didn't vote for 10 also should lose voting privileges.

The limit of votes is stupid especially with the glut we have now.

Sosa singlehandedly revitalized baseball in the 1998 season. HE SAVED BEISBOL. Him and Mark. You saw families united for the first time in years. People were going to the game for the first time in years. Both these guys need to get in along with probably their hitting coaches and traveling secretaries.
