So basically the Yankees are 6-0 in the playoffs and Girardi is 0-2. That's pretty good when you consider the Yankees are actually playing yteams that don't have Girardi on their side.

A-Rod's line for 2009 playoffs: .400/.486/.967 1.453 OBS

Lol that's the maddeningly superior attitude from Yankee fans that makes everyone hate you. No way, the Angels could never beat the mighty yankees. The reason you lost tonight has nothing to do with the fact that the Angels got more hits with less at bats and struck out less. Of course not.

All this to say nothing of the fact that Scioscia has made some incredibly stupid mistakes in this series, yet you don't see Angles fans saying "Lol we won 2 games and Scioscia lost 3."

It's similar to the way a sharply hit line drive is caught by Tex and every Yankee fan goes: "Tex for god" "Zomg Tex, so sick at defense" "Tex has been bad at the plate, but so sick in the field."

But when a sharply hit line drive is caught by the Angels 1st basemen it's "Zomg, run better" "Lol Angels run like god" etc. etc.

It's annoying.

PR for A-Rod was ******ed. Other than that it's whatever. The turning point in the game was Hughes not getting the fastball high enough against Vlad.

Well if it makes you feel any better, I'm only following the thread in the first place because I'm a Phillies fan and I'm rooting for the Angels for obvious reasons (read, the Yankees are a better baseball team.)

Of course anyone can win. But if Girardi had done what he should have and put Robertson in the 7th inning to begin with, I would have liked the Yankees chances better, and I wouldn't be questioning Girardi. Kinda like he keeps forgetting that games sometimes goes past 9 innings and he can't go through pitchers like a knife through butter. And how is stating my opinion on Girardi giving me a superior attitude? Did I once say LAA was lucky? No, I said Girardi sucks.

Now lets say LAA comes back and wins games 6 and 7. Do you have any idea how badly Girardi is going to be crucified for managing this series?

I almost got in a fist fight tonight. When Figgins bunted down 6-4 with two men on, I started clapping and laughing saying that he just did us a huge favor. When they ended up taking the lead that inning, some idiot says "you shouldn't have laughed at that bunt. It worked and now they're winning. Good job genius." I told him to go **** himself and said he doesn't deserve to listen to me talk about baseball. I was pretty drunk and mad.

It makes perfect sense that you, as a fan, think Girardi made stupid decisions that decreased the Yankees chances of winning the game. That's all he did though.

The players on the Yankees lost the game and the players on the Angels won the game.

What you said was the Yankees are 6-0 and Girardi was 0-2, Meaning the Yankees are the perfect, unbeaten team, who can't be blamed for any of their losses and would have won every game without their stupid manager.

You don't see how that comes off as a superior attitude?

And, again, this whole series Scioscia has been making failtacular mistakes as well. You can't give the Yankees all the credit when they win and none of the blame when they lose, it's silliness.

Can someone explain how Alex Rodriguez got pinch run for? Seems really dumb, he's got like 300 career steals and caught 70 times or whatever... And doesn't seem like this part of his game has dropped off or anything. Is the logic he may be good at stealing bases, but he lacks the speed to go from first to home on certain hits?

It hurts my head trying to think how this move could possibly be justified in the postseason.

this series is moot, anyway. Charlie Manuel and his non-tinkering will lead the Phils to glories.

So come on guys going forward let's just enjoy these games. I'm just happy that the Yankees didn't celebrate in our house and now have nothing to lose. I mean TBS said it was going to be the Phillies and the Yanks immediately after the Phillies clinched so you have nothing to lose either. You have already been crowned by the media your pennant.
