White Sox are interviewing Tony La Russa for manager spot. Nothing like a 76 year old Trumper to connect to a young team full of immigrant superstars. My condolences burghurt.

larussa managing the whitesox 35 years after last managing them would be kind of funny

the worst managed game I ever saw was an 18 or 19 inning mets cardinals game maybe 10 years ago or so

Larussa managed to double switch the pitchers spot behind albert pujols so the mets kept walking Pujols with guys on base to get to the pitcher. He also kept refusing to pinch hit with the backup catcher in bases loaded 2 out spots for the pitcher on the off chance the backup catcher got hurt.

Jerry Manual managed the game so poorly Laruss clearly had the better day.

must be pretty rare to see a team down 2-1 as a favorite for series - although basically a coinflip (like -118 vs -102 for Braves)

If the Astros win today, they get an easy win in game 6 against Snell, then it's all even for game 7. Braves are still a lock in the NL.

I bet the braves after game one at +110 before kershaw's injury came out
Before last night's game the braves were only -220

I could lose obviously but couldn't pass that up

I wish I had y'all's confidence betting the Braves.

We're starting our 3rd rookie pitcher in a row for the first time in postseason history,

going against literally the most accomplished pitcher of this century.

I know Kershaw has playoff baggage, but this seems like a slight mismatch

I don't know the Braves pitching, but I'm going to say I'd take them all over Jansen and Kelley. Kershaw will melt down either this start or his next appearance assuming the Braves don't win out or he goes on the DL.

Astros are going to shell Snell tomorrow, it is just a matter of how much they can put up before he gets pulled. So the series is basically a lock to go to 7.
