ok this guy doesn't fit my window perfectly but I need a pass rush and I think he will remain dominant for the first few years of our league.
Spoiler:

He's been banged up this year but should be back at 100% for next year. He will have just turned 32 heading into next season and his baby-face makes me believe he is aging very well.

Time to further weaponize my offense. Mike Glennon has one elite young receiver to throw to, but Josh Gordon can't play both sides of the field, & doesn't return kicks (although he does pretty much everything else).

This guy is a bit raw, but was impressed that he's becoming a bigger & bigger part of the offense already, & is catching passes over the middle of the field now.

6'3" 205 lbs, 22 y/o, & he runs like this...

WR CORDARRELLE Patterson

Team so far:

Offense
QB Mike Glennon (24-28)
WR Josh Gordon (23-27)
WR CORDARRELLE Patterson (23-27)
LT Russell Okung (27-31)

Defense
DE Lamarr Houston (27-31)
OLB Von Miller (25-29)
MLB Kiko Alonso (24-28)
CB Joe Haden (25-29)
SS Kenny Vaccaro (23-27)

I'm real high on him. I like the pick.

Peyton's great and all but does anyone else feel like his arm strength will somewhat limit the upside of Dez and Graham?

The Glennon/Patterson problem is the opposite. Got a QB with a cannon and a WR great at catching the ball short and making guys miss.

Yeah, when I saw that you had Steelers' pick this round, I was a bit concerned because I really wasn't sure what other direction I wanted to go with this pick.

I think Glennon is improving on his short passing every week, & there's also no reason Cordarrelle shouldn't be able to work a bit farther down the field, & the quicker the ball gets out to him, the more space he will have to make people miss.

Also, Gordon is a great deep target already.

Disagree with the people saying there are a lot of running backs that are very similar to Eddie Lacy. Basically no miles on his legs (only one year in college as the main dude) and already showing he's a pretty damn good running back in the league. Here is a little quote from PFF on this week's performance.

Quote:
- Eddie Lacy forced another eight missed tackles against the Vikings for 41 so far this year. However that’s on the up-tick as its 25 in the last for weeks alone.
I mean I agree with LOL running backs in general in this league but grabbing the best, or top 3 depending on how you think Shady and Jamaal Charles will age, is pretty good here.

Eddie Lacy is averaging 4.1 yards per carry. Now, I think that somewhat understates how good he's been, but he is nowhere in the vicinity of Charles or McCoy. He is a massive dog to ever be in the vicinity of peak Charles/McCoy. Pure runners who average 4.5 ypc are not prize assets.

You know who forced a lot of missed tackles last season? UNDRAFTED current Colts RB. Where Lacy ranks among the paltry crop of current RB assets is kinda trivial.

Ok, we are going to be taking

Jake Long, LT

with this pick. 28 years old, had some injury problems last year, but has came back strong and is ranked 7th on PFF. Has had a strong comeback season, and will protect Rivers blindside for the next 5 years

Team THAMELHAWK selects Lawrence Timmons, ILB. While smaller, his coverage skills and pass rush ability make him an ideal fit for our team. He will start the league at a young 28 and likely stay strong through the course of the time frame.

I think Long is a better pick than Monroe.

I didn't read the write-up, but the Mike McCoy picks seems awful.

Even if you think he's a good HC, you could have gotten him way later.

Second time i have been sniped in a row...

CP is a great pick imo. Also he is very good at kick off returns which creates an extra benefit. He is only going to get better and better.

Round 9

Great Wide Reciever. Age would be a worry as he is 30.
Signed a big 8 year deal 2 years ago.

But when he is on it he is up there with the best.

WR
Spoiler:
Larry Fitzgerald
