There's more ... Jan tells TMZ Lennay's "sister" continued to reach out to her after the USC game ... and delivered some more bad news -- that little Pookah had been diagnosed with lupus and was dying in a children's hospital in Orange County, CA.

Jan said she wanted to send flowers -- so Lennay's "sister" gave her an address. TMZ has learned the address belongs to a member of the Tuiasosopo family.

Jan also gave us the phone number Lennay's sister would use to contact her -- and we found out the number is registered to a man named Titus Tuiasosopo -- Ronaiah's father.

We tried to reach out to Ronaiah -- but we couldn't get a hold of him. So far, he has yet to comment to the media about the story.

Manti - oh when i said i "met" "her", i mean we talked online or on the phone. she kept standing me up when we planned to meet, and i was too embarrassed to tell the truth about it. (but at the same time was shocked when "she" turned out to be fake?)

Brian - oh i just completely made up [censored] for the hell of it, and bc i love attention

so Manti never told Brian that he met Lennay?

this story seem to take like a million leaps of faith (no pun intended) to arrive at a conclusion where Manti is merely a fool. but i guess IMG's priority at this point is Te'o's draft position...

edit: oh yeah, and the rationalization that his sadness about all this caused his poor play in the NC game

If he does this right he can be a first round pick again if his combine is fine because if it's told right it looks like he has a pretty good excuse for playing poorly in the championship game. (hey I found out it was a hoax pretty close to the title game and I was depressed etc etc) He only needs one team with a LB need to buy the story.

Few things:

- If Te'o is really totally innocent, then Tuiasosopo is the greatest con artist of all time. But still what was his end game? He is really going to keep this up for 3 years and then just kill her off for sport?
- Te'o still deserves blame for playing it up. Maybe this is a Mormon thing but I don't know how in the world you love someone so much and even call her your girlfriend without ever seeing her face-to-face. He should not have made as big of a deal of it as he did.

Or, if Kekua is her first or last name that they used in combination with a fictitious first name of Lennay. Or, if Maui'a is just referencing her as Kekua, but actually protecting her real name.
