This never happens, but I'd guess that every manager in the league has ordered that a pitcher throw at a hitter. Sometimes it's explicit. Sometime not. Sometimes players just do it. But it definitely happens. I don't think that ML managers are ordering guys to throw at hitters' heads, but things can happen when you are trying to plant a 95 MPH fastball between someone's shoulder blades. I'm talking to you, Roger Clemens, you spineless little bitch.

During the pre-game broadcast it was reported that Villma offered $10,000 to any player that took Farve out. The NFL has audio of a Saints player saying "pay me my money." After taking out Farve. The Vikings filed a report with the league after the game stating they felt there was a bounty on Farve.

Why has it taken 3 years to investigate this? This should have been investigated in the 2 weeks window before the super bowl was played and during that off season. The NFL looks incapable of policing its self. To me, It looks like the NFL covered up for their feel good Super Bowl Champions until the league had milked the story for all the money it could make.

The NFL needs to be investigated to find out what the league knew and when. Did the league cover this up for 3 years? If so Roger Goodell should be held accountable too.

Heard them saying on First Take how Goddell has made it his aim to clean up the NFL and improve player safety. This is what he wants to be his legacy as commishioner, and while he has made steps in that direction. This whole saints bounty thing serves it up to him on a platter to him.

So...The NFL releases the report at 5pm on a Friday, perfectly timed to let the story brew for a few days and then be swept under the rug by Manning being cut (which everyone knew was coming).
