To be fair, my trips to Pittsburgh only include:

1) Spending all my time in a casino
2) Spending all my time in a casino
3) Spending several hours in a casino and steam walking around the downtown area for several hours while my co workers gambled

So, not a big sample. But its a real city in a way Cleveland isnt.

Not 100% sure im following, but (assuming Im reading this):

Just looked down the list of MSAs in the usa. Pittsburgh is like 16th on my list of places I'd like to be living in right now given the chance, all else equal. Its not huge, but its still better than I'd have thought before seeing it.

I hate the Steelers more than anything, but it's a nice town. That doesn't mean their professional football team doesn't employ rapists, 9/11 conspirators and heathunting thugs.

no, they're from Pittsburgh, and secondly it's not like the Packers are the Lions or anything like that, since the 1996 SB win they've only had a couple of losing seasons, but keep reaching

btw anyone who randomly becomes a Steeler fan is worse than the people who randomly root for the Yankees, except the Steelers are more embarrassing and have had much less success.
