While i also think this was a bit to much to give up for RG3, If you look at the thread most Redskins fans agree with that but all basically say they dont care if RG3 lives up to his hype and they actually have a Franchise QB.

I know its results orientated to say the trade is worth it if RG3 lives up to his hype but it is the truth. If i was a Redskins fan id be happy my team made a move in the efforts of getting a poential franchise QB rather than just sitting around hoping one falls to to them.

exactly, haven't been excited in awhile

it used to be if we beat dallas twice and went 2-14 with those wins it was a good year now we have a QB that isn't a washed up FA

I wonder what they offered for the #1 or if they did at all.

Or, I guess what I'm really wondering is what it would take to pry that pick away from the Colts.

This thread should be changed to LOL JETS with the ridiculous contract they just gave Sanchez. He is one of the worst starting QBs in the league.

Agree with this. The price you need to pay to improve your team immediately (vs waiting a year) has been fairly well established. Inefficiencies may exist BC some gm's or coaches are pressured into winning now to save their jobs, but those inefficiencies aren't going anywhere. And there are plenty of legit reasons why teams gamble on the present at expense of future value. A dollar today is worth more than a dollar I promise to give you next year.

Ya that's fun and all, let's just stop pretending like teams are trading third round picks in this draft for first rounders in two years.

Do you not get that the time value of money is a real thing, or...?

You need to put some sort of value on a 1st round pick in 3 years in today terms even though trades that far out rarely happen

Where did I say that trolololol?

7th rounder for 2019 first rounder, see that happening? Oh wait no, because that is ******ed.

there is no time value adjustment for joy of watching your favorite NFL team win, unless it's an extreme case where the probabillity of your death starts to factor in.

do you believe that draft classes will get worse and worse over time for some reason, similar to how the purchasing power of $1 will decline over time?

Just because next year's first rounder is worth a second rounder this year doesn't mean a 2014 first rounder is worth a third round pick this year.

Really? Can't put that together for yourself?

Owners aren't fans. There are all kinds of real reasons why winning today is worth more than a hope you'll win tomorrow

More than a third round pick.

7 7th rounders for a 1st rounder in kb4z land of saltiness.

why would a SB win from 1990 be worth so much more than a SB win from 2010?

I don't get why you think thats my pov. We know roughly what the xrate is for picks this year vs picks for next year. And we know picks in 2014 are worth less than picks in 2013. That's all I've said.

its really not worth discussing. I'm sure that 1/2 the people who claim Eli is better are just Giants fans having fun, but anyone who seriously thinks Eli is better is simply horrible at analyzing football.

I don't even see why Giants fans take offense to this. Yes I think Eli is worse than casual fans do(mostly because of their overrating rings), but as a result it means that I'm giving more credit to the rest of their team.

YOU CAN PUT MONEY ON THE STOCK MARKET AND GET CAPITAL GAINS/DIVIDENDS, YOU CANNOT PUT A 14-2 SEASON ON THE STOCK MARKET
