watching these Little League coaches try their hardest to stay calm and positive is hilarious. i would be yelling at this ****ing idiot pitcher and catcher for losing this game for me and the rest of their teammates.

These kids are terrible tho for real. Just no way this is the best America has to offer. Shortstop supposed to be one of your best players on the field. Nothing but chokes in this thing.

Yea I've played little league, I'm not just talking that one play. It's a collection of plays I've seen while watching this thing. Some are just inexcusable but it's apparent some of these teams only made it because of 1 or 2 great players, usually unhittable pitchers.

On that game alone tho I blame the coach for pitching to that kid when you had a runt on deck. Would have taken my chances.

No doubt. Although I am pulling for Taney, I felt really bad for the Texas pitcher in the fifth. He was having a breakdown. A tremendous amount of pressure for a 12 year old to deal with.

He was absolutely cracking. I was stunned they kept him out there and even more stunned he got the strikeout to get out of the inning.

The drama is always there because nothing is automatic (i.e. they're 12!).

It's been said here before but these aren't close to the best players or teams in the US. Some of the kids may be some of the best America has to offer, but for this age range there are travel leagues and competitions that are a way higher level of competition than the LLWS.

To give you an idea, our team was a lower end 12 majors travel team. That means we are one of the top 6 teams in our state and about top 30 in the region. We beat one of the teams that finished top 4 at Ripken WS 14-2 and didn't throw any of our good pitchers.
