Not necessarily.

Toronto has a massive Chinese population. Could be both Raptors fans and rooting for Lin.

wat

you think he should have just let him drive instead of making him take a 27% 3pter?

Also it shows he had complete presence of mind.

He's fully immersed in the flow of the game. Not one detail is overlooked.. he motions Chandler back confidently.. calms himself.. gets in rhythm and when Calderon stepped back.. BOOM fires away.

The terms Veteran and Clutch don't even begin to explain what we witnessed tonight.

What we witnessed tonight and in the past 6 games is so far better than anything we could ever see in a basketball sports movie.

Lin pulled the trigger tonight when a lot of NBA players, including some stars, are "afraid" to shoot the last shot.

Speaking of sports movies, that reminds of The Replacements and this quote:

Shane Falco: I want the ball.
Jimmy McGinty: Winners always do.

Jeremy Lin, you are a winner.

So you'd rather have him drive on Calderon who has been exposed as one of the worst man defenders in the league, than take a 26 footer with just more than a second left.

I see. You must not watch a lot of games (don't worry, a lot of Raps fans don't).

I disagree with the bolded because the score was tied.

yeah i was thinking the same thing. i don't see any reason to be afraid to take that shot. he's the PG holding the ball to run the clock down for the final shot anyway, so it's already kind of expected, and it's a pretty great freeroll. if he misses it's no big deal, he's not supposed to make it most of the time, and he was the one who tied it to begin with. plus they still have a chance to win in overtime. but if he makes it....

But he's fearless so it's kind of moot point for him.

fwiw the game was kinda goofy, fans were prob 75/25 raps but everyone cheering for lin, in the first half he was really ****ing terrible and they started booing him hardcore, so everyone is basically cheering for the raptors + lin, but booing lin, and then when he hits a shot they cheer him. at the end of the game i honestly think there was just cheering for everything, people just wanted to see whatever happen happen.

also calderon ****ing punished lin tonight, lin plays no d whatsoever, calderon normally not really a shoot first guy although he's been good this year, just getting wide open mid range jumpers and layups, finally at the end they switch lin onto barbosa who was in the game for god knows why and put i think shump on calderon.

anyways lin was good int he second half but absurdly bad in the first half. in the first half i was just thinking that this kid was a ****ing joke and anyone who got high usage on this team in d'antoni's system against the pg D he played against would ahve abused them, but in the second half he was pretty impressive. still not as good as ppl think, but pretty decent and uses his body well.

Calderon smoked him but Lin has been pretty solid defensively so far. It doesn't help when the Knicks are the woat at switching on screens. Good job watching 1 out of 6 games and making definite statements lolllllll this whole post is awful definitely make a blog about Lin on how he was "absurdly bad" in the first half and "pretty good" in the second half.
