Man there have been some good potential counter opportunities but execution just hasn't been there. Krasic was wide open before but I'm sure, the overly selfish these days, Iaquinta was screaming to get the ball....

Inter looking to take control though and are putting on some pressure.

Meanwhile Mallorca held on. Even had some chances in the end after Barca had completely dominated especially in the first half where they could have closed the match if they had made it 2-0 on one of their many chances.

Instead it became a battle and 1-1 the finish.

I'm kinda glad Barca and Madrid are losing/drawing games here and there. Makes the league more exciting.

Although i'd rather Barca win more often.

Juve coming very close now, putting some tough balls in, Krasic was close with a shot/cross.

finding space right now

Err, was a horrible buy yes, but Hodgson loaning him out when we have a horrific midfield is even worse

There are 4 teams in the bottom part of the table, which everyone expected to be in the Top 7 with Bayern, Bremen, Schalke and Stuffgart. Mainz, Hannover and Freiburg are above and beyond all expectations.

The bottom 2 get relegated and there is a playoff-game between the 16th of the 1st divison and the 3rd of the 2nd division.

Poulson tho (and Lucas, lol)

losing Mascherano too is a problem. i legit feel bad for LOLerpool supporters.

ooh, Iaquinta scores on a nice ball across the box from Krasic, but just offside. Krasic really beating Chivu to the by-line, easily.

edit: so how does Chivu react? he goes through him with a hard tackle and gets booked, while Snejider was also down with some kind of knock/dive.

Two teams are relegated, a third has to play two matches against the third of the 2nd league. The winner of those will be in the Bundesliga next season.

Bayern, who obv have the best team on paper, had their worst start ever, currently in 12th with 8 points and 5 goals(No striker goals!)

Bremen, qualified for the CL, is right behind Bayern in 13th, maybe still a lack of Özil in there.

Schalke, which paid about 35 million for new players like Raul, Jurado and Huntelaar, are currently in 17th with just 4 points.

Stuttgart has pretty much failed on the transfer market + they have solid runbad... last place which 3 points.

Mainz is normally hovering around 9th to 12th in the standings, but this year they run like god, play good football, and had seven wins in a row!

Dortmund has a very talented, young team, so their position isnt too surprising.

Hannover is usually just trying not be relegated, but this year they are currently third.

So yeah, the season is VERY crazy.

bringing the ball into space on Inter's half so well but then it's mostly fail symbolized nicely (well awfully) by Iaquinta there
10-03-2010 , 03:34 PM
real madrid looks really really good
10-03-2010 , 03:35 PM
this is fun watching madrid turn on the style here. A beautiful goal by di maria with a great ball in as well. This isn't the deportivo of the begining of the decade, but still this is fun to watch

Inter started well, Juve came back strong, then everyone started fouling and diving, then not much happened, then Eto'o made one good run and one good cross, then the half ended, is pretty much the way I saw it.

Eto'o is really dangerous and I don't like trading Biabiny for Milito at all. I thought both him and Coutino were getting mostly outworked and the danger more or less reduced to Eto'o. Now Eto'o can be more of creator/all round player probably and Milito even if not firing on all cylinders so far this season, is of course extremely dangerous.

But I like Juve's performance. Could do with having to a little less defending to do but so far no disaster and the passing with the ball and the running without it has been the best so far this season. Really like the positions won in the Inter half, unfortunately there hasn't been the needed quality in the decisive touches.

It's tempting then to blame Iaquinta with all his unreliable technique and want him out but he does put in tons of runs and has played some decent targetman too. Both things creating space for others. Del Piero or Quags on top couldn't do the same.

Amauri I'm not sure how fit is but he is an option (and upgrade) of course.

The ref has done well. He has been put under a lot of pressure and I guess it goes with the luxury of having the ball the most in a game like this, and being at home, that it's Inter applying it. Hopefully he'll remain strong.

I also have a dream of the Inter players losing their cool if things don't start to go their way even more. We'll see.

Del Piero would be sooooooooooooooooooooo good if he still had pace.

Constantly schools people with his first touches but mostly can't take fully advantage cause he is too slow.

Could still be a high level joker though and i Would rather have him with energy for a half of so than a full game with a few golden moments in the midst of not doing much at all.
10-03-2010 , 04:24 PM
whew huge Milito chance..... pass and run great but missed the finish

I was sure that would be a goal. Very much unlike when Quagliarella was through earlier

Pretty good allround performance from aquaman. Good workrate and some nice passing starting transition but Inter kinda taking over now so fresh energy in the form of Sissoko needed.

Wish Amauri was available. Miss the passing option that was Iaquinta up front.

Well I'm very satisfied with the draw. Juventus level of play and lack of errors really was a good bit better than I had expected.

Inter I don't think really pushed on towards the end. Losing would just be too much of disaster I guess and Juventus (who significantly had proved dangerous also affecting Inter attitude) on the other hand would always take a draw so it was somewhat of stalemate the last 10-15 minutes.

Inter fans will probably be disappointed though. They could definitely have played better but in the end a pretty even game I thought.

Eto'o best player on the pitch I thought.

Grygera I think was the most positive surprise. Did well both on the left and right.

Krasic unfortunately tired early. He says he is still not the 100 percent. He has proved even faster with the ball than I had thought (based on a few Moscow and Serbia games) this season which is great but I also thought he could put his physique more to use defensively where he is only providing negative value. That he is not good tactically (yet) doesn't help. A very needed offensive upgrade though.

Kinda wish the first goal would have come a little later since there was still tons of beer left in the half-time beers. I was soaking wet lol

Unfortunately I also got inside news (Kehl txt message to a friend of mine) today that Kehl's injury is at least 3 month. He's running pretty bad with regards to injuries
