I hope your son continued to play and you enjoyed the little league ride.

I feel blessed to have experienced so many great memories of youth sports.

I loved every single moment very much. The time I spent throwing him BP and hitting 1,000s of ground balls to him will always be considered some of the most wonderful times of my life.

It makes me sad to think that time in my life has passed. We’re on to 14u travel baseball and high school sports but I am forever indebted to little league baseball for the profound impact it had on my life.
Agree with this 100%. The part that sucked for me was when I couldn't play catch with him any longer. My vision sucks and my reflexes got worse as his velocity increased. Once he was in college I was done.

We don't have men's volleyball around here. Women's volleyball is by far my favorite sport. We watch a lot of the tournament every year and go to a few Arkansas matches. Our backdoor neighbor for about 15 years was an honorable mention All American and All SEC setter at Arkansas this year. My son and her were on a Co-ed softball "national" (really a little regional deal) championship team at 12u and 10u. Still pretty cool because there were like 7 kids that played D1 in various sports off that team.

Im sorry to hear this and dread the moment that I will not be able to throw the ball around with our boys.

I love chatting about this. It’s the first year that I feel like he is now a better baseball player than me. He can throw harder and can probably hit the ball further than me as well. Feels like yesterday that I had to throw the ball to his glove side for him to catch it.

I am with you, I marked my calendar with the tournament matches that were on TV so I wouldn’t forget. I love to watch women’s ncaa softball as well. However, I can’t bring myself to watch any women’s basketball.
