The Bucs also have 2 very, very good defenders, but I wouldn't expect you to know much about anything.

What ever happened to him saying he would make a decision about going pro after the national championship game?

Way to keep your word bro

Bucs have some talent but need better coaching. Lovie brings nothing to the offense and their defense was pretty bad last year. They're sticking with Lovie so a good hire at OC will be key.

Texans will never draft him. that makes the least sense of any place listed.

that organization is beyond risk averse when it comes to any bad publicity.

Would like to believe the NFL has learned their lesson on QBs that are clownshoes off the field but probably not.

Fourth rape? Don't think so.

The accuser filed a civil suit against FSU today and he declared for the nfl. Coincidence?

Is a civil suit going to be filed against Jameis himself too?

ESPN NFL Draft Insider Mel Kiper Jr. has Winston rated as the second-best quarterback behind 2014 Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota and the sixth player overall on his latest Big Board. Kiper thinks that Winston has special pocket instincts and the necessary vision, size, arm strength and athleticism to make it in the NFL.

In a conference call with reporters Tuesday, ESPN's Todd McShay said he believes that Winston is a better pro prospect than Mariota.

"[Florida State quarterback] Jameis Winston, to me, is the better prospect," McShay said. "Marcus Mariota is still a very good prospect but needs developing. They both have a chance to be great. But they both come with red flags. Winston's red flags are off the field."
I don't get how these guys are considered actually good at their jobs. I'm not even sure what special pocket instincts are but anytime Winston has been faced with pressure in his face this year he tends to back pedal and throw off his back foot. Athleticism? Anytime I've seen the guy tuck and run he looks extremely slow and the NFL is a game that is played at a ridiculous speed. Manziel looks slow against the elite, what is Winston going to look like? Winston's red flags are off the field I'll give McShay that but are they honestly going to ignore his high volume of interceptions this year where he made bad read after bad read, bad decision after bad decision and his mechanics broke down entirely? He definitely has some kind of skill set to work with but I don't see anything remotely close to what those 2 assclowns are seeing.

Not until a minute after he signs his NFL contract.

Possible that Jameis wants to stay on Campus but his dad is ready to get paid.

The odds of Jameis's dad not already being paid seems pretty remote, but probably not at the level of a top 10 NFL pick's contract, though.

Also, I find it hard to believe that FSU didn't tell him he's leaving. Happens all the time with problem players.

There was no choice here. He was at least heavily "encouraged" to go to the NFL.

FSU probably figured the only attorney who could keep him on the field next year would be Alan Dershowitz, but that now he likely wouldn't be available or very effective with a jury.

Re the "red flags are off the field", you'd think this season would have taught people that off the field red flags can end up being a huge problem. Especially when it's stuff like bashing your wife upside the head, whipping your 4 year old until they bleed or ****ing raping passed out chicks. We're not talking about a guy who got busted smoking weed here.

From Matt Taibbi's The NFL draft decoded, part III:

Quote:
– Is the prospect an *******? Sometimes guys with scary college arrests and character red flags work out – just look at Terrell Suggs and Randy Moss and, lately, Dez Bryant. But particularly in the top 10, why bother reaching for someone who's had any trouble at all? It's not like there aren't other guys available. Just shelve that Lawrence Phillips crush and move on to Eddie George. You'll miss a star from time to time, but you won't end up eating millions in dead cap money while your top draft choice does community service for beating a stripper or pulling a B&E to steal pain pills. Especially if you're picking a quarterback, if you go to campus and hear that the guy is an entitled dickhead who spends more time worrying about his hair and the 15 cars he's going to buy after his first contract (Ryan Leaf admitted that his first move after getting drafted would be to go to Vegas and party) than he does about football, you've got to move on to someone else.
