I really hope Lee Cattermole stays where he is. The lad is 28 and on a blistering pace to set the record for the most career PL red cards. He's one off the record and he's got a good five seasons in him and his current pace is slightly less than one per season. Let's face it, it's the only record he's ever likely to break.

He'd probably be banned before we get to the monkeys game.

The real reason CS wants him exiled north of the border:

They gave Cattermole a 5 year extension a year ago which is one of the stupidest things ever.

If Moyes will be the manager to finally succeed in moving Cattermole either completely out the door or just way down in the pecking order he would be worthy of praise.

Sunderland finally broke up the Wes Brown-O'Shea partnership but a team with Cattermole as a key player in midfield I still think would have to do very well to stay out of the relegation fight.

Celtic looked better than I had expected against Astana. Scott Brown and Cattermole together in midfield would be something heinous. I also seriously dislike Scott Brown btw and the comparison between them that I'm contemplating right now is seriously doing my head in so I'll just skip it, but yes Brown might very well be the better player.

and Cattermole in final proof that life sucks and the world is an unfair and unjust place I STRONGLY feel is actually at a point where he is getting protection from refs. How does he of all people get that status? It's awful. He should have been getting a lot more cards the last couple of years.

I wasn't aware of that contract extension - some research (and when I say research, I mean using Google) suggests Cattermole is on 50 large a week. Moyes is used to handling over-rated footballers on contracts that are longer and larger than their talent merits, he did it with Wayne Rooney.

I guess Hull might sign him, since he is a warm body and they don't have many of those. Otherwise I guess it'll have to be Celtic - again, I want a mc1 interview on YouTube the day that it happens.
