Beer tastes great because things like hops have a slightly euphoric side effect and other means of making beer can bring about pleasing sensations like refreshing acidity, esters, and even savoriness. These things also exist in spirits, but differently. So, again, stop while you are well behind (I can go into greater detail as to sugar contents and the receptors of them all, but no one wants to read that).
I’ve spent thousands of dollars going after certifications in these areas and will spend thousands of dollars in the future continuing on. This is an area in which I’m extremely well-versed.
