why? playing in Mexico is a lot more legit than playing in MLS or playing for a 2nd division of a top league in Europe like the other USA internationals are doing.

For some reason my World Cup model is really undervaluing heavy favorites. Gotta Figure that out!

Being **** is a relative thing. Someone that was **** at Bayern Munich could easily be the best player in the USA squad.

If the picture in the other thread is a reasonable impression of his current level of fitness then he has no place at the World Cup. Upset foam finger pointers would do better to ask questions of Donovan about why he is in that shape instead of asking Jürgen why he hasn't selected him.

what data and model are you using?

Last edited by Vael; 05-23-2014 at 05:43 AM. Reason: also, there appears to be a serious error: USA has a higher attack score than ENG, unpossible

So we, the team with the best DM/CM pool bar only Spain, are running into serious trouble in that very position. Lars Bender hurt himself yesterday night in training and is out for the World Cup. Sami Khedira just came back from a torn ACL, Bastian Schweinsteiger is questionable and Philipp Lahm (who we desperately need at FB, imo) has a slight injury, too.

Bender out is really bad.

He's exactly the kind of player you want in a tournament like that, and in temperatures like that. He just don't give a **** (like the honeybadger), and he keeps running, and running, and working his ass off for the team.

There's seems to be a pretty wide gulf between pool play game odds and tournament winner odds

Lagasse's Stadium. 1000%. Watched the entire 2010 WC there and it's my go-to venue for every sporting event of merit when I'm in vegas. Not the cheapest place but well worth it.

cliffs on all the SE WC $$ competitions/pools/props that are still open? looking to do a ton of mindless gamboling this summer.

I used to read that paper from front to back at least 5 days a week (when I worked in a betting shop) and the sports betting section was always top notch. I'm pretty sure their 1998 World cup guide planted the idea in my head for my now legendary plunge on Senegal to beat France in the opener!

I didn't expect this year's to be out so soon; guess I need to renew my online subscription.

Yeah. I'm not much of a horse racing punter so very rarely read the paper. But i did some research and this was apparently the best one. I got it of Amazon. Probably a bit more expensive than if you can find one but none of my local newsagents had it.

But lots of useful stats and information that is very good when looking at certain markets etc.
