Messi might score enough goals vs Iran to make their women expose an ankle or something

Versus the USA's 1st team

The german 4th team? the german 5th team?
two.

The run it 100 times and it be a competitive game not one where germany doesn't care and makes like 5 subs might be lost on a few posters.

Actually, if GER has 6 points and already qualified, it very well may be that GER won't want to play their first team against the US because they'll want to save their first team for the Finals rematch against the US.

Of course, if the US has 6 points also, they might also not play their first team.

Seems like a bargain, amirite?

You are forgetting the little detail (maybe you also don't know, I don't know how serious you take your "soccer" fandom over "football") that you may only take a squad of 23 to the World Cup.

Even if we'd locked up winning the World Cup already and for some unknown reason had to play another game against you that meant something to you competitively, but not to us, we could only send, at worst, our second squad of 10 plus our 3rd keeper (who's still miles better than that 80 year old Spurs dude who you'll probably field as your number 1).

Yes, and before you nitpick again. I know that Friedel won't play.

What I would be scared about, if I were in your shoes, though, is: Our 3rd choice keeper takes a huge dump onto Tim Howard, too. Then he nonchalantly stops a screamer of the category Kroos-hits-it-almost-perfectly (no one, not even Neuer, stops perfect shots by Kroos). Then he wipes his ass and, just for the fun of it, takes another huge dump onto Howard. Then Tim Howard is all covered in **** and Jürgen Klinsmann has to dig him out with his bare hands so as to not lose his No.1 for the next... oh wait! There won't be a next game.

That's how good our 3rd keeper is, and that's how **** Howard is.

The two projections I've seen from people in this thread both have knockout stage of entirely UEFA and CONMEBOL teams.

Who wants to go even money O/U 1 team from outside those confederations makes knockout stage? It's a push at 1.

Yeah, Mexico can make it out of their group. Apart from them I see no LÖL CONCACAF team making it.

Japan could qualify, too.
