The Spanish federation has been run for decades by Angel Maria Villar who makes Blatter look like a cultured and honest man.

Here he is talking about el fúrbol. If you understand Spanish it generates "vergüenza ajena".

How does somebody like that become a major player in CONCACAF soccer? It boggles my mind how he can even tie his shoelaces.

At press time, the U.S. national team was leading defending champions Germany in the World Cup’s opening match after being awarded 12 penalties in the game’s first three minutes.
Nice. I can picture Warner reading that and thinking, "Seems legit."

He now can play the "I'm not corrupt, just really incompetent and stupid." defense though and people will buy it.

We need a big board of FIFA's organization chart with pictures so we can mark them off "arrested", "convicted", "cooperating", "dead/missing", "fled to Qatar/Russia", and "under investigation."

the letter is so official that it looks weird that this is "evidence of a bribe"

but then you find out that "Diaspora Legacy Programme" doesn't actually exist...hmmm

feels like people just getting sloppy with how they cover their tracks

possibilities

1) they are selling out Jack Warner, who told them it was a legitimate program
2) they will claim it is a legitimate program
3) They will still claim Valcke had nothing to do with it, claim he never saw this letter
4) combo of 1+3 or combo of 2+3

The German Football Association would not support a boycott of the 2018 World Cup in opposition to the way Fifa is running the game.

Football Association chairman Greg Dyke has said England would support any such action led by Uefa following Fifa head Sepp Blatter's re-election.

But German FA chief Wolfgang Niersbach, speaking ahead of a meeting of Uefa officials this week, said: "We don't want to go down the route of a boycott.

"That won't accomplish anything."

Niersbach added: "We don't want to get into a situation like with boxing where there are several parallel associations. That doesn't work."

Blatter, 79, was last week re-elected for a fifth term as the president of football's world governing body despite seven Fifa officials being arrested by the US Justice Department over allegations of corruption. Blatter himself has not been implicated.

Niersbach's comments come on the day that Blatter's top deputy Jerome Valcke denied allegations that he is the person responsible for a $10m (£6m) transfer of funds cited in the US indictment.

Swiss prosecutors have launched a separate investigation into the bidding process for the tournaments in 2018 and 2022, which will be held in Russia and Qatar respectively.
thx germany. not like you could do with a PR boost or anything.
