I've also read Haaland is "demanding" £600k a week. That's puts the cost of the deal similar to Kane, assuming £80m transfer fee.

I get that Kane is older, but he's more of a sure thing for City right now than Haaland. Plus £600k is a great way to piss off the rest of the dressing room and Haaland seems a bit of a knob, so you also have to factor that in.

Haaland (or specifically Mino Raiola) wants £150m over the same period, so the deal for him over 5 years is likely to cost more than the deal for Kane when you add the transfer fee. And that's not factoring in the pay rises you have to give the rest of the squad when their agent gets wind of Haaland's deal.

Last point. But they likely are paying more than what arse will pay right now.? It's just likely that ESR and his agents have told arsenal that they want this contract or else he will think about moving. Agent talks to villa or whatever, and they bid because they know how much he wants and will offer it.

Then it just forces arsenal to either match the wages that ESR wants, or try sell him.
