It's almost comical how they turn defending a corner into a 5-4 break in seconds.

Ancelotti making RITS look like a fool yet again. Not nearly as much "RM sold ADM now the world is going to end" talk lately from pundits.
the Isco, Kroos, Modric, James midfield isnt even that athletic either. It's pretty impressive.

Ancelotti always managing to get balance while fitting in everyone is impressive too.

Well Bayern run them pretty close. But yeah, they are really taking it to new levels. Given what Barca have been doing in the last few years, Atletico last year, Chelsea and other teams like them, its really quite absurd. Bale and Ronaldo on one team is kinda unfair. Funny how slow Jimmy Rodriguez looks on their team but he actually isn't that slow, just relative to his team mates he looks it.

But they're quick. The Iniesta yellow sums it up.
10-25-2014 , 05:33 PM
yeah maybe "athletic" was the wrong word.

it's just how quickly they transition is mind blowing ..... it's a combination of running with the ball, decision making and 1st touch that is crazy.

Feels like a completely different sport at times

So much focus and praising from the media recently around Ronaldo's number of goals this season. Guy is sick and everything but really tilting to keep selling the amount of goals he's scored this season without any context regarding number of penalties. His numbers are becoming so inflated with penalties it's a joke that pundits, media and supposedly knowledgeable source of information are just going "He's scored x in y games". I get that advanced metrics and football don't make a good pair especially to the casual supporter but how hard is it to quote non-penalty goals.

Also, why did i just look at two gay gifs of people hugging each other ?

This has some decent points on Barcelona's shortcomings at the moment

Ray Hudson is the most annoying announcer out there.

In any event, and regardless of the final score, I kept a close eye on Busquets and I was mightily impressed. He's internalized how to play the Martínez role in a way that you could almost name it after him and not Javi.

Busquets is too sick, got caught on the ball once but what a ridiculously huge boss. La Masia football education too GOAT

being very good at taking penalties is good, being able to create many of the chances that defenses stop with fouls inside the box is also good. These things are not negligible, which is why NPG is cute but not all that interesting

He's so annoying it actually becomes awesome. Guy says the most ridiculous things, like "he soaks up defenders like a beautiful paper towel soaks up milk."

Hudson GOAT
10-26-2014 , 06:45 AM
Hudson on Pepe's goal: "He rises like a beautiful salmon out of a fresh summer stream. He peels away clearly like tissue on a toilet roll."
