Yea I forgot how entertaining that day was when it was happening. Funniest part is OJ's lawyers holding a press conferance to tell citizens to be impartial to what happened that day if they got called for jury duty.

Speaking of which, how the **** did they get jurors in a situation like that?

Still haven't caught the real killer have they? I'd like some follow-up.

This one was awesome, agreed it easily could've been 90+ minutes long. Haven't seen many of them but I really liked the Ali-Holmes one, and was very disappointed by the UMiami one.

I will say that shoehorning the Rangers parade into this day was a bit of a stretch. If the OJ chase is a 10 on the historic sports moments scale, what is a championship parade, a 0.1?

Loved the editing and behind the scenes audio/video. Good stuff although not super interesting. It was basically an excuse for retelling the OJ chase.

i think it was more of juxtaposing that with the LA streets during the OJ chase

There was elite use of the Talking Heads in that documentary. A+

It was pretty big in the NYC area. The Rangers hadn't won the SC in decades and it was the first sports parade in NYC since the '86 Mets. Plus add the fact that the Knicks were in the finals and it was a huge sports day for NYC.

I was just amazed at how all those people reacted to the OJ stuff. It made me feel sorry for the human race.

"I've already told them I'm Bob Costas." funny, funny stuff.

I was thinking last night how hard it had to be for NBC, not only to make the decision about how to broadcast the game and what was going on in LA at the same time - but also the fact that OJ was an employee of NBC Sports at the time.

If they had any interviews in the documentary (and what made it good was not having those random interludes) I would've liked to hear from Costas and the NFL on NBC folks about what they were thinking, sort of like when they put on a clip from Al Michaels being interviewed during the chase.

That was maybe my favorite one yet. I love how the filmmaker just stayed out of the way and let all of the moments and reactions at the time do the talking. Even though we obviously know how everything turns out, it was still pretty spellbinding, especially as someone who is too young to really remember any of the OJ hullabaloo.

Although that day was crazy, it wasn't even the most bizarre part of the saga. OJ putting on the gloves looking shocked that they didn't fit and the not guilty verdict were crazier.

Just got a chance to watch the OJ ep. I personally thought it kinda sucked... I mean the happenings of that day are crazy, but they didn't explain anything. Seeing as I'm still relatively young in comparison to the crowd that would remember the transgressions from that day it's quite dissapointing that things weren't explined in more detail.

EX: Why the **** was Griffeys HR on there? He tied a record for most HRs by certain day? If so that seems way less important than the Rangers parade.

We got to hear an A+ joke from the announcers at that game, that's the only reason I can come up with

I think the Griffey HR part was partially that it was a significant thing at the time but also to contrast the minor sports things like regular season baseball taking place while all the crazy OJ **** was happening.

griffey hitting tons of HRs and setting mid-season records was probably a bigger story at the time than the doc made it out to be

It was the 30'th HR of the year, he was ahead of Babe Ruth's pace at the time, he hit it off of David Cone who won the AL Cy Young Award that year and there was an A+ joke to boot.

It might seem meh to the youngsters now but at the time Junior (and Matt Williams) making a run at 61 was a huge deal at the time.

If you grew up in the steroid era its probably tough grasp what baseball was like at the time.

Pre-98, the HR record was the biggest in sports and no one had really come close to it since Maris set it. There had only been one 50 hr season (King Fielder) in the previous 15 years.

Hmm, I didn't hear the joke. What was it? I guess I wasn't paying very good attention as I had just woke up to watch it (set reminder for 12:30 rerun this morning) so I guess that could possibly damper the doc a bit for me.

Either way I was still dissapointed in the lack of commentating and explaining.

I'm 20, so the HR race I remember caring heaps about was obviously Sosa and McGuire.

Yea, and Tony Gwynn hit .394. That season could have been SOOOO epic. The Montreal Expos and NY Yankees were unreal that year.

Jesus Christ, remember the Braves streak of division titles may have ended before it really started if that season was played out, but had no idea they were 68-46 and still 6 games out. That is ridiculous.

Yea, the strike really destroyed baseball in Montreal.
