Yes, but you're yet to have plumbed the depths by scrapping it out with Marty for the wooden spoon. And I'm losing, despite a rousing fight-back in the last three weeks.

tbf Cashy made a good post a while back on why it'd better to go for the x3 rather than the x2. Also quite hard to pick one of the big threes actual result.

No one had Chelsea beating Fulham 1-0, did they.

Fair enough.

I think you have a better chance of getting a better score for 2x though. Easier to predict the outcome and result obv. You rarely get a minus score.

I've been watching a lot of Porto the last few weeks after it was reported in the Portuguese press that United have had a scout at every Porto game watching Hulk and I have been very impressed by him. Athletically he's very gifted, both strong and fast, he has a cannon of a left foot and his right isn't bad, and his technique/dribbling is also very good. The only question mark is I remember in the past his decision making has been very questionable, constantly shooting from ridiculous distances etc but in the six games I've watched (I still have another five games to watch on my laptop) it seems like he's improved on that as well. That said, not for United. The last thing we need is another right winger/wing forward and while he can play on the left he's clearly better on the right, cutting in onto his left foot.

Speaking of Porto, I already talked in Skype about their new manager Andre Villas Boas and how he is going to be a star. 33 years old, worked for Jose at Porto/Chelsea/Inter, saved Académica from relegation last year and now at Porto, with basically the same squad that finished third last year (sold Bruno Alves, Meireles, bought Moutinho) he is now top of the league with 9 wins and a draw, 25/4 goals, and in all comps has 16 wins, 2 draws, 0 losses while playing attractive attacking football. He's one to keep an eye on for sure.

Saw bits and pieces of them on Sunday night, they ripped Benfica apart in the 1st half.

ok a Wolves player made a bad challenge, big deal it happens every game (gets highlighted more when it's Arsenal, funny that) because it's the nature of English football.

where is your indignation towards Wilshire and his reckless/vicious tackles?

btw, you have no need to be rude, if you don't like what i post ignore me.
This. In the City game an Arsenal player (can't remember who) lunged 2 footed at Tevez, fortunately it didn't connect but it was a disgraceful challenge. Arsenal fans do themselves no favours by pretending their players are angels.

Kron,

What did you make of Mancini's approach to last nights game?
11-11-2010 , 02:23 PM
Today's Evening News apparently had 11 pages on last night's derby. Impressive journalism to come up with that much about a terrible game

I don't really have a problem with it, he is always more cautious against the big teams and it was important not to lose that game. If he's still so cautious in one or two seasons time then it would concern me but at the moment he is still working with a team that haven't played together much.

The game was a dull spectacle admittedly, my only criticisms would be that Milner just doesn't produce enough attacking wise compared to Park for example and Adebayor should've been given 10 mins rather than the silly substitution in added time. I don't know if Balotelli would've started ahead of Milner, Mancini seems to like him a lot so there's a good chance he would've played if available and provided some entertainment.

However there's a lot to be said for building from the back, City have played Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool (lol) and United already and kept clean sheets against them all which will do for me.

Looks like Barton will get a 3 match ban.

Given his history on and off the field they should throw the book at the little horrible ****.
11-11-2010 , 03:11 PM
citys performance was awful, against a united team missing Giggs, Valencia and Rooney and with half the team recovering from the flu to play like they did was a joke.

If the situations where reversed and City came to OT missing Tevez, Silva and Milner they would get ass raped.

Tom Cleverley watch:

Spoiler:
He played well against Liverpool. He started out on the left wing but switched to the right midway through the first half. Midway through the second half when Gomez came off he moved to a central attacking midfield role and even though he has played most of his football so far on the wings I'm sure that's where he will eventually end up.

There is a lot to like about him but the main thing for me is his awareness and resultantly his off the ball movement, decision making and vision. You can see him always looking around to see where everyone is and what's going on around him and whenever he gets the ball it seems like he already knows what he's going to do with it. For a young player I think that's a very good sign. There was only one time that I can remember when he lost the ball (he was dribbling and a Pool player came up from behind him and nicked the ball off him). His passing is good (39/44 completed, and 3 of the uncompleted were crosses), his close control is very good, he shields the ball well even when up against bigger opponents, he scores goals, he is always looking to get involved in the play and he isn't afraid of getting stuck in (9 tackles attempted last night). I have no doubt he's going to be a very good player.

i've just signed him on loan for Celtic on FM, so i'll keep ya'll updated on how that's going
11-11-2010 , 03:48 PM
He was great in FM10 when I had him on loan at Watford

A more fitting punishment for Barton would be to watch Match of the Day on an endless loop, Clockwork Orange style

This is players who have been injured by a tackle. Not players who have gotten injured training / away on international duty / taking a sh*t / buying groceries

I think it's quite obvious since Arsenal have more than 3 players out injured.

He was great in my dream (this is an equally pointless statement). Always tilt when people say "I SIGNED HIM IN FM AND HE WAS GREAT"...

How does this matter at all :/

Someone up my dosage, myself and Turtle have just agreed twice on one page.
