Little bit harsh imo. Loved watching Berkovic play and was devo'ed when Keegan forced him out. Could be a mard arse but also hugely talented, I remember him running the midfield in a match at OT for one.

graham poll basically said its acceptable by the law but so would giving a FK and fixing it. obviously he said he would not let it stand.

The fact of the matter is though there should have been a PK before the FK. :P

If he was going to stop the game again for a second time, he'd then have to book Nani scoring. Then he actually can't do that because he waves play on and if he'd looked the footages via video technology then he'd give the PK :P

Indeed, he had bucketloads of ability but contributed virtually nothing off the ball. A great talent at times, a stroppy ****er at others.

If anyone was capable of handling that situation worse, it was Poll. He would probably have dived into the Streford End to celebrate and then high-fived Nani, before sending off Kaboul for looking at him in a strange manner.

Sending him off using a yellow card, or 3.

Dear Clive

Once again I must hail your fantastic support at our away fixture against Arsenal at the weekend. Many things were very positive at Arsenal. The fighting spirit was good and the players can be proud of the way they played against a very good team.

No one is happy with our position, but at this stage of the season, one win can make the picture look so much different. We are only in November and we know we can do it with the matches we have coming up.

We have a long way to go. We will pick out the many positives, work hard in training this week and I know we will take points. We had a tough game in midweek but we deserved to win and even though some players played extra time and some were just coming back from injury, they kept going.

I am pleased with their effort. It was just unfortunate there was no time to respond. We tried but from their point of view they scored in the perfect moment. Arsenal are a very good team but we did a very good job tactically.

The difference between us winning games is very small thing. We are doing all the right things. The next couple of months are very important for us and I am encouraged by the performances. It would be different if we were not playing well.

I have watched Arsenal in many games and I think they created fewer chances than usual in this game. We have defended well and to lose in the last minute it is very disappointing.

After a game against a very good team, we can take a lot of positive things from this match and also the Carling Cup win last week against Stoke City. We are not in a situation that we cannot change. We will win games, we deserve to win games and we will try to do that at Birmingham next Saturday.

We are in a good situation in terms of our performances and I really believe we can do it. We have fighting spirit. It was a heroic performance on Saturday and it bodes well for the future.

Thanks again for your support,

Avram Grant
Manager

and dermott gallagher said that clattenburg's ruling was fine. So, since we now have two crap refs ruling in on it with two opposite POVs, all we know is that this is still dumb and you guys were still down 1-0 and gomes didn't play through to the whistle (which when poyet was asked he quickly pointed that out)

Les Ferdinand didnt score 1 penalty in the PL. That is pretty amazing
11-01-2010 , 03:53 PM
Can we not just agree that Clattenburg is a ****ing cheating ****?

An awful decision which in the end disguises the fact that we put in the usual powder puff performance away against one of the so called big 4 and pretty much got what we deserved.

Glendenning covered them quite well, but basically the ref and head of refs lied about why the ref had overturned a penalty decision. the lino resigned claiming that he had been bullied into lying, and that there was a cover up.

We're in good hands though, Alan Wiley is coaching 16 top referees.
