Apparently Stephen Ireland failed a medical at Newcastle once they got to testing him from the neck up.

In all seriousness I feel sorry for him, not wanted at Villa and now this move has failed. The mentallist needs an arm round him and could still be a class player in this league

who needs the "Moneyball" approach when the "Scatter-gun" approach will work just as good.

From what I know, they signed him for pennies in 2004. He played 7 league games this season and he demanded a transfer earlier. He will go sooner or later. I guess they´re just holding out for an even better bid.
