Chelsea please, ooooooooooooone tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime!

Spoiler:
wishful thinking, i know it's not going to happen.

If Tevez isnt lying about his motives I see Tevez ending up in Spain, maybe southern Italy( do lazio or rome have enough cash?)

Which team can it be??
12-11-2010 , 08:35 PM
He's homesick so goes to Spain. Makes sense.
12-11-2010 , 08:36 PM
well you could make the argument that Spain is much closer to Argentina culturally, although i'm not sure if that's what val is getting at
12-11-2010 , 08:37 PM
In Spain they speak spanish, tevez speaks spanish. In Spain they have nicer weather.

Living in England is tough for a latino. You miss stuff back home. In my experience the toughest part is the weather and the language.

Yep, a lot of people underestimate the importance of lifestyle when players make a decision. Spain >>> England especially when you count Tevez language considerations.

Barca is ~4hrs closer to Argentina than Manchester and I can def see him driving some sort of deal that allows him home more regularly with a new club. Pure speculation but I wonder if he was refused permission to fly home during his suspension hence the request.

boca juniors it is. he should be fine on the meager wages too since he hates how greedy footballers are. oh wait, no he won't cuz he is a ****ing hypocrite.

Yet Chileans migrate like crazy and none of them miss Pinochet... Guess there's not that much to miss.

i don't know if i ever said that (if i did i was surely leveling). i definitely liked their chances after the good start, and didn't really see this slump coming. far from over though, long way to go for everyone, should be a good 4-horse race, maybe 5 if Spurs win tomorrow, and especially if the game Monday is a draw.

but i do remember almost everyone else saying it...but maybe that was just for reverse-jinx purposes?

Crazy question!

Is it possible to have too easy a start to the season like Chelsea had?
12-11-2010 , 09:02 PM
"They will have to be aware of Dimitar Berbatov, whose record at Old Trafford this season - he has scored 10 goals there in the Premier League - is impressive.

that or be aware he might start another 9 game? streak of not scoring before goin all flattrackbully up on some goalgifters..

Remember earlier when I said I thought City were nailed on for CL places? Not if Tevez leaves imo.

Still favorites though.

Tevez has two options: play for Man City or work in a chilean mine under the dictatorship of Pinochet

i don't think so. it's just a matter of an old team getting a year older. plus they lost Carvalho, Ballack, J. Cole (and his replacement Benayoun has been hurt). Lampard has been out most of the year, Essien missed a bunch of games, so have Terry, Zhirkov, and Bosingwa, Drogba got malaria, etc. Ramires was basically the only addition, and he hasn't settled. just like everyone else it seems, this team isn't really very deep anymore.

so when they're fully fit i think it's a pretty strong team, but with people missing not so much. i think it's pretty close between the 4-5 team pack at the top, and it might just come down to who stays the healthiest, or gets lucky and runs good. or just plays the best football, lol, imagine that!

Eh?

Spain might be closer culturally but he has been in England plenty long enough to know the language and if he's actually homesick and missing his daughters moving to Spain doesn't exactly solve either of those problems does it?
12-11-2010 , 09:55 PM
Are we really trying to guess Tevez exact feelings?? Btw if the daughters enter the equation then its a different issue.
All Im saying is that some latinos feel much better in Spain than in England because of the weather, the language and the culture. Im not saying that is Tevez case.
Speaking a foreing language all the time is tiresome if you dont speak it so well, I doubt Tevez has even half the english level I do.

This doesn't have to do with Tevez. I'm just making fun of you and inferiorland Chile!

Explain it to me then? If a player is homesick, sick of football, talks about retiring, misses his daughters who live in Argentina, then moving to Spain is the answer, a new country after living in England for over 4 years. Makes sense.

Also Barca is 4 hours closer to Argentina? Not only is that not even true but what is the relevance? He wants to be closer to home (Argentina) so he moves to Spain? For what reason? To cut a little bit of time off his flight?
